Eeeeeh...technically that's true, but that always felt like a bit of a technicality to me. Like going with that would follow the letter of the law, but not the spirit of the law, you know what I mean? But, in any case...carry on!

I don't know if I'm mixing an old myth with the Bible, but is that the part in which they say the the Lord's name is really long and that no one really knows it, or something like that?
Well in Hebrew it's Yahweh, but sometimes translated as Jehovah.

Isn't Jesus is something closer Yehoshua/Yeshua/Joshua? Almost reminds me of DBZ with all the alternating romanizations.

As far as Episode 43 goes, I like how Cell was handled, and the Makankosappo call back. Looking forward to the next one.

Yeshua is the Hebrew, I believe, Jesus is the Greek; since the original New Testament sources were Greek, the name stuck.

I'm pretty sure the old myth you might be confusing it with is Doctor Who.

I see the connection, but it isn't. I've only started watching Doctor Who very recently, and what I saw referred to the name of God.

edit: Also, I have a question. Is Kuririn's "stealth mode" a joke about his low battle power, and a call back to the Namek arc with Gohan? That's how I saw it, but a few people I've spoken to thought it had nothing to do with that and now I'm really not sure myself.
I thought this was a joke about Kuririn being a bit of a perv/stalker, which is why Kuririn affectionally refers to it as "stealth mode", rather than what those he would be following would refer to it as. I can see your theory working too though.

Clarification: It's a joke about his lower power level.

And then his wife is not only stronger than him but has a harder power level to detect. There should be a joke about that somewhere down the line.

That reminded me of Cartman (mannerism and tone) talking to his dolls in general before killing them off in the 1% episode.

Abridged Cell = Cartman?

Yes. Just... yes.

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

I knew I wasn't the only one who thought this. All I thought of while watching this was Cartman and Polly Prissy Pants.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

The voice rather sounds like when Strong Bad does Teen Girl Squad. Always fun to have a little bit of Strong Bad fun.

Hehe funny deleted scenes. I really wish they were in the actual ep though. I feel like those little add ons would give that ep more depth. Haha I love Cell so far. Really comes off as creepy but funny. The jazz music really gives it atmosphere too. Can't wait for 44.
