I don't even know where this "Teen Gohan" term came from. As we know, it's not a dub term. He's referred to as 11 by the narrator, and is said to have "turned into a teenager" at the beginning of the Buu arc. So, nobody calls him a teenager before that either. So, where does this come from again?

^Ok, thanks for the answer. That makes me wonder why they came up with that name in the first place. Then again, maybe "Pre-Teen Gohan" wouldn't sell as many action figures.

I don't think they put that much thought into it. The video games have a lot of different versions of the same characters so when you have "Kid" Gohan and "Adult" Gohan, they look at the one in the middle and just call him "Teen" Gohan. A few naming schemes in the games have suffered this way. Final Bout had "Super Goku" and "Super Saiyan Goku" to differentiate the GT and Z versions of the character.

You pretty much hit the nail on the head. I would've preferred they called him that, but Cell Games Gohan would've worked as well.

Heh, that's what I thought I remembered your feelings on that being, but just wanted to check to be sure. I don't loathe the use of it to that extent...but there really is no getting around the fact that it's just plain wrong. As Valerius points out, they never call him that in the show, not even the old dub, and even it's altered age for him isn't a 'teen' yet.

Pretty much this. People just take it too serious.

Episode 44 up (and happy birthday, Lani!)

It's amazing how they can make Cell funny, and yet still horrifying.

Awesome way to introduce the cyborgs real names there.
Can't find a better place. And Krillin comment just nailed it.

Goku's One Piece dream sequence is possibly the greatest thing ever. Just fantastic :D

"Sorry my dad killed Chiaotzu."

And the entire last two minutes...I don't know what to say. It was probably the hardest I've ever laughed at this show. Just great stuff all-around.
Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

Hehe I like how you guys also inserted the android's names in there. I can just imagine the comments about them on youtube.

Tenshinhan's mega saiyan talk, and reasoning for mocking Vegeta is magnificent, that was a delight.

What's made Tien scene more funny, is that in French and Polish anime version, SSJ1 was called Super Warrior, SSJ2 - Hyper Warrior and SSJ3 - Mega Warrior :P Great episode, loved every moment of it.

Krillin was probably the funniest character this episode.

"Are you making that up? Because it sounds like you're just making it up."

"Okay, I'm dropping the pretenses, we're aborting Cell."

"Pew pew pew."

And again, Abridged Cell = Cartman is just great in so many ways. Though I didn't like the end of the joke, where Cell just randomly started yelling. I wasn't a fan of the last time Cell suddenly shouting was used as a joke either.

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

I sincerely think that this is one of the funniest episodes in the season so far.
The joke with the origins of 16, 17 and 18, the dream, and the radio part are just awesome.
