So I've finally played the Beta, here's what I liked about it:

- Hearing Yamamoto's music (or a remix of it) on the Opening Screen
- Customisation is extensive and with plenty of variety
- Characters and stages are well detailed
- Graphics look very good (but not to the point of Uncharted 2, or so)
- Hub World looks really cool although I wish I could've flown instead of walk/run

I'm still not sure how I feel about that the gameplay feels like a mix of: Burst Limit, Raging Blast, Brave Soldiers and Battle of Z plus with some elements that reminded me of Ultimate Blast. To be honest, I was expecting the gameplay to be fast-paced like I saw from some videos but it's not exactly that.

I won't be purchasing it day one but still worth getting it for 360/PS3/PS4/PC/XO.

DB Xenoverse is not a DBZ simulator with fighting elements, it's a semi competent fighting/action game with DBZ simulation elements.

Odd, when I finally got Goku to show up the battle conditions changed in the menu to:
"Defeat Gohan and Piccolo
Win under 5 Minutes
[!] Defeat Goku"

Likewise when I got Gohan to show up the conditions changed to:
"Defeat Goku and Piccolo
[!] Raditz must have over 50% health
[!] Defeat Gohan "

However it seems that sometimes even when you fullfill these new conditions you still don't get those characters to show up.

Anyway, done playing for today, currently loving all of it so far, only thing that bugs me in the gameplay department is the Boost Dash that seems to only follow the opponent when it wants to, everything else is pure fast paced fun, specially when you get the hang of the strings...speaking of strings, here's the list of them to anyone who doesn't feel like doing an offline PQ:

I'm loving the experience so far....which sucks, because I know I'm not getting the most of it. There's a reasonable depth to the combos, rushes and snap vanishes that I don't always know how I do them, and I really need an offline portion.

Even the "offline" is being played online through the Network Test and, as someone with a poor connection, it's hurting my enjoyment a fair amount.

Maybe it's because we're not supposed to be playing until Saturday?

Also something interesting, fake vanish: You step in one direction, then jump at the end of the step forward or sideward. Also work on the end of a Boost Dash, the timing is iffy, though.

Loving beta/test. It's sort of a Dragon Ball version of destiny which is great. But at the end of the fights when a portal emerges. How do I enter it? I was on the mission where you have to kill piccilo and gohan. I took out the 3 people at the look out then a portal. I couldn't use it. I would just pass through ect....

The offline battles seem to be working properly here but on the lobby there were times the framerate was really bad.

I wish the graphics would've looked better on PS3 as it can be visually improved rather than making this a "feature" only for PS4/XO/PC. Just look at the PS3 exclusives, and the ones especially by Naughty Dog.

Unlike Destiny, this game will actually have a story mode.

Also Scouter is incredibly useful, it shows the Ki, the HP and revealed movelist.

I unfortunately cant get the code because its PS3 only so I'm going off what you guys are saying.
So from what I've read, there are "what-if" endings for each battle, sort've like in BT3 if you pressed R3 something different will happen.
If so, that's pretty cool.

Two more questions. Are all the customizations available right away, or do you need to unlock some things? Also, can you get the logos on your oufit? Like the kame logo, crane logo, King Kai, King Piccolo/Kami, etc? I really enjoyed that in UT

So as it stands it seems a lot of you are having a blast with the game be it your first or second go around, which is great. With that said what would you guys rate it so far? I'd it more or less than what you expected? Is it right on the money? Does it make you anticipate the final product even more?

I'd say 7/10 right now. It satisfies me. The combat along with camera still needs work. A Movelist would be nice (maybe the final version would have it). Aside from that, I have no issues with it. Even on PS3 the visuals are stunning. Movement feels right. I love how the character shades move as you super dash. Little nuances like that make me smile. I could go on.

Anyway, pretty solid so far. I feel like whatever it would lack on the battlefield it makes up for in every other department. :thumbup:

Anyway, I'm glad I'm seeing positive reception from the beta, even the people who bashed it now like it. I just hope I get my code, but I won't be able play it until I come back from work like 3:30pm.(I work morning shifts).
