Playing online on ps3 is free, you have to pay for PS plus on ps4

Yes at least according to beta. As you log in on "Single" - offline , "Multi" - Online so yes you can play offline if you choose

It's near to that, but specifically speaking, it's 992 MB.

Playing online on ps3 is free, you have to pay for PS plus on ps4

It's also free on PC, I think.

Edit: Just received a code for the Japanese Xenoverse Beta. It's probably no different than the European Beta other than being in Japanese. If I read it correctly it expires on 1-1-2038. lol

They posted it on their Tumblr. Scroll down. But it says the first 20,000 can redeem the code 2 9:00 AM PDT. That would be 12:00 PM EST for me. But PSN says the code is invalid.....
