As we entered, there was a circular room with video screens all around. Some people had entered a couple minutes before us, so the video had already started. Seemed to be just some welcome video (wasn't really listening, was too busy squeeing at all the giant Dragon Ball characters talking around me
Knowing we didn't have much time, and that Dragon Ball was the main reason I was there, we headed straight toward the DB themed area.

And then I took a bunch of pictures with all the Dragon Ball props:

Clearly, this Kintoun has lower standards...

Hanging out in a dead guy's armor.

Vegeta's space pod.

Got my power level read. Turns out I'm Freeza class...sweet. Then my husband got his read, and he was Super Saiyan Gokuu level. Goddammit...

As you adjust the level on the gravity machine, clips of Vegeta's voice play, sounding pleased if you turn it high and berating you if you turn it low. I got yelled at by Vegeta! *squeeeeee*
After taking pictures around that first area, we went to one of the Dragon Ball attractions. The first one was a hunt for the dragon balls. Each participant is given a Dragon Radar, and you take it around to different stations and play mini games to collect the balls. I said to my husband, they're just games for little kids, this'll be super easy. Well, they get a little tougher when the explanations come up rather quickly, and one person is trying to translate and tell the other what to do, all while you have a strict time limit to complete the game

Then we were taken to a little curtained off area where Shenlong appeared on a big screen. He started his spiel about granting wishes, at which point I was like, "hmm, do we get to say our own wish?" But then Gokuu's voice came on saying "Shenlong, please save the Earth!" and I was like, "Psh, that's a lame ass wish." Then the screen showed some asteroids that were heading toward Earth fading away, and we were both like, "Gokuu totally could've destroyed those on his own!"
We then tried to go to the second Dragon Ball attraction, but there was a wait for it at that time, so we wandered around some of the other areas. We did a One Piece attraction, which was run by a girl with an impossibly high chipper voice (I really hope she only uses that voice at the theme park, she would probably hurt herself and others using it all the time!) And we found some more Dragon Ball stuff to take pictures with.

The piece of not-for-sale merchandise I most wanted to steal... but proooobably would've been a bit too obvious. "No, he totally came in with me, I swear!"
They also had drawings on the walls where you could pose and do certain famous attacks.

Then we went back to the second Dragon Ball attraction, where you went into a room with a big screen, put on 3D glasses, and did an interactive thing where you could shoot a Kamehameha with Gokuu. The effects were actually pretty cool (again, couldn't take pictures in this area). Even though the "plot" didn't really make sense: it's at the point in the series where Boo is an ally, and somehow Freeza gets resurrected, and you have to help Gokuu and Boo fight Freeza. Like, psh, Freeza ain't shit at that point in the series, but whatever, he's an iconic villain so I understand why they'd use him. The effects were better than I would have expected, though I would prefer the option to do one of Vegeta's attacks (I know, I know, they're doing stuff to please the mainstream fans, not the rabid fangirls
We went over to the Naruto area after that, but unfortunately the attraction had already closed for the day (it was about 15 minutes before closing at this point). We happened across the dining area (I know they had some Dragon Ball related foods, but the kitchen was already closed, and we were still full from an all-you-can-eat dessert buffet we went to earlier)

In this area, I spotted a poster for a certain movie...!

And then we found a Budoukai stage, where one of the employees was kind enough to take our picture.

We spent the last few minutes back in the big circular room from the beginning, which had a central screen where pictures of different Jump characters were floating around. If you pressed one of the pictures, that character would appear on one of the screens around the room for a few moments. I tried to take pictures with a few of them, and managed to get a couple Dragon Ball characters, but unfortunately the Vegeta shot was too short for me to get a proper pic (some of the characters said lines and stayed up longer. Vegeta just put up a peace sign and disappeared).

The best shot I could get with Vegeta...with me as a blur running toward him
Overall, it was a super fun time. I wish I'd had more time to explore everything, since I know we missed things. But if I get to go back to Tokyo and this park is still there, I'd definitely go again!
