Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
I don't think it would be too far-fetched. I actually believe this will happen because of Vegeta's pride possibly still being intact. Raichi pulled out his Vegeta card as a last resort effort it seems so that might mean this Vegeta is very difficult to be controlled as a Ghost Warrior.coola wrote:I would love if "real" Vegeta turned on Raichi, but, i doubt it''s gonna happen, it would be too far fetched.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Ghost warriors are not actually the people they represent. They are just echoes of the people they represent, captured by Raichi's technology. They are fake, they aren't even the souls of the people they represent. Those people are dead and their souls are elsewhere. The comparison with Maijin Vegeta is flawed because he really was Vegeta. This ghost warrior is not Vegeta, nor is he exactly like him. So, I don't see any of them turning on Raichi.

Well guess I'm dropping the series for the time being. The manga has been shit for some time now. Don't want to go on a full rant here. It may bother people who actually like this fan manga. So bye bye DBMV for now. Saves me 3 seconds of annoying fan fiction now.

I'm guessing SSJ Vegeta is just like 5th form Freeza. The Vegeta in the universe didn't reach it, Raichi just "upgraded" his ghost.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
"Debatable" is the best word I can think of to describe the nature of the ghosts. They are "echoes" but they also show more of the original's personality than Raichi should theoretically be familiar with or able to reproduce and they also demonstrate some amount of autonomy or at least something suspiciously similar to it. There's not a whole lot of concrete information about the exact nature of the ghosts, and given the source from which Raichi originates, that's hardly surprising. I think it's vague enough that Salagir could go in a number of different directions without technically being "wrong" about it.rereboy wrote:Ghost warriors are not actually the people they represent. Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Raichi's power is technology. That's not really debatable since that's clear in his backstory. How it works is another story, but the safest assumption, in my opinion, is that his tech is able to scan individuals by the "vibe" of their anger/hate and replicate them, even bettering their power a bit. Now, its possible that it could replicate them so perfectly that it would be essentially be creating a sort of clone, but since all of the fighters it scanned showed complete obedience to Raichi, no sort of grudge against him at all, no hesitation and no problems sacrificing themselves, its clear that, even though they exhibit some aspects of the personality of the real fighters, they don't have their true personality, just something resembling it, or that they are so heavily conditioned by Raichi's tech that they might as well be puppets.
Of course, you might disagree, but like I said, this seems the safest assumption. After all, if they had even a bit of free will or true personality, at least some of them should be showing some signs of discomfort or of a grudge towards the man responsible for most of their deaths and that is enslaving them. And, as such, I really doubt any them would even think of turning on Raichi.

I'm with Daimao here. Vegeta should have just been disintegrated instantly by the Cell Jr.

Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

So that's how Demon King Piccolo can make this a fight...
He is capable of breaking the fourth wall! Maybe he also has toonforce powers or something

Dang Evil Prince Vegeta didn't win. But I really enjoyed the match overall! (Love the little forth wall joke there).

Was a good fight. Anti-climactic ending but that was a good change of pace. Gast should stomp this but I want to see what The Great Demon King can do. Maybe even try and force a fusion?

I did kinda like this Vegeta's interactions. I wanted him to lose, but not necessarily die. Oh well. Moving on.

So is this considered suicide? Duche Vegeta killing Duche Vegeta. Well at least he took it like a boss.
No remorse from Kakarott at all lol that's funny. This next match dialogue wise should be very interesting.
So who does Raichi fight next? I wonder if he'll have two Vegeta's now.

Either that, or he just replaced his previous Vegeta with a Shiny Vegeta that has it's own Mega Evolution.goku the krump dancer wrote:So is this considered suicide? Duche Vegeta killing Duche Vegeta. Well at least he took it like a boss.

Re: Fanmanga - DB Multiverse
Aside from the anti-climactic ending of the fight, I seriously think this is one of the best page in the manga, narratively speaking. The little 4th wall breaking joke typical of early Toriyama (remember Pilaf, etc.), the explanation of the origin of Gast's name told seamlessly in a short casual comment (instead of big flashback or lengthy speech or whatever that would break the flow)... Yup, it's a pretty cool page.

Well that was disappointing....
I wonder how long this slug battle will last I hope they don't drag it out too long. We all know who's going to win.
