Most likely. I see no reason to change it up from last time. Plus, it's easier having Kikuchi's score than having all of those bands.

However, that makes me wonder how things were when it aired on TV back when it was brand new. Anyone know the answer there?

Back when it was brand new, I believe they replaced all the band music with random Faulconer tracks.

I wonder why they pick DBZ Movie 5 and not another movie. DBZ Movie 5 is one of my favorite DBZ movies and I always enjoy a good late night movie on TV.

I was actually thinking the same thing. lol But I'm with ya, Cooler's Revenge is one of my favorites and I didn't get to record it last time so I'm gonna get it this round.(Yes there's people like me who still exists that buys blank VHS tapes and records full broadcasts haha I've got about 30 or more tapes of Toonami recorded new and old. I just like recording them in case it goes away one day I'll have it and I'm crazy. lol)

There was some questioning about this towards Jason DeMarco, Toonami's co-creator and still current runner; I believe the answer he gave was it was cheaper airing "something old than new", especially for DST when ratings don't get counted. And by, "something old than new", I assume he meant since they already have the uncut master for movie 5 from when it aired in May.

Anyone watching Cooler's Revenge tonight on Toonami? I'm recording it to add to my collection of Toonami tapes. I'm hoping we get some kinda promo for Kai. which I believe will be airing next weekend.

I totally forgot that this was coming on tonight. I can take a break from my homework for a little bit to watch this.

Just like in May it's the dub with Kikuchi's score with that godawful guitar OP replacing Cha-La Head-Cha-La.

It majorly sucks that there isn't one decent late night anime TV channel in the U.K border. So many anime movies and Sony TV used to keep releasing once a week the same 3 animes for the past 2 years.

It's over and I'm still pissed that it didn't have the American soundtrack.

It's 2014 and this belongs to FUNimation so they're no longer going to use replacement scores any more when the original music is available and it's also what Kai viewers will recognise from (in the sense that it's composed by Shunsuke Kikuchi).
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

Yeah, it's probably a good thing that replacement scores are starting to become a thing of the past, although it still occurs with certain other anime. For DB, however, I'm fine with them phasing out the replacements. They won't go away. They're still there on the Season Sets and Movie Packs. :D

If you want to watch DBZ with early 2000's crap like Disturbed and Drowning Pool then you're welcome to buy the original DVD cheap on Amazon or watch AMV's on Youtube . I don't think anyone wants the American soundtrack back seeing most of it was terrible. It was nothing more then music artist telling kids to buy their albums when most of them can' buy them due to the parental advisory label on some of the albums like Disturbed's Sickness.

Heck, even the Movie Packs have the American music for all the Movies as an option. So, I don't really see what the issue is here. It's not gonna go anywhere. :D

Pretty sure it was on to fill in the Day Light Savings extra hour we get. Also peeped that Kai promo. I've seen it all uncut front to back already, but Toonami got my hyped up again to watch... like the old days.
