The one from the 1990s is Dragon Ball Z: Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans. I spoke of Dragon Ball: Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans.

Okay, I get what you are trying to say now.

Also, (as much as I hate to admit it) PreCure does have better action scenes than Sailor Moon. I wouldn't mind seeing those guys work on some new Dragon Ball action scenes.

PreCure has always had great action scenes, even better than Dragon Ball. HappinessCharge! PreCure has had something of a slump, although Ita'oka Nishiki has become something of a 'main animator' for the series by handling so many of the action cuts and bank animation. The franchise has yet to match what Tanaka Hironori did for Yes! PreCure 5 GoGo Episode #4, though. Episode Director Ootsuka Takashi allowed Tanaka to do as he liked for the rotating action cuts, merely telling him to "have the camera rotating." Tanaka took this to heart and turned in the performance of a life time. Dragon Ball would do well to recruit Tanaka and give him free reign.

Not to mention...that hair porn!

Kid Buu wrote:Last episode was good. I like that Toei is willing to alter the story, but the animation is meh and the side characters need more characterization. Should have adapted some of the short stories to flesh out the characters.

Meanwhile, I've given up on Kai all together.
Unfortnately, in manga, side characters were never developed, and if they keep follow manga act by act, it won't change :( Similar to Kai, Toei is using another dol group, Momoiro Clover Z, only much more, allowing them to perform in musicals, and even dress in style of Sailor Moon for Moon Prid concerts/CD case :)

So we have covered like the first 32 (?) episodes of the original series in these 7 episodes right? Well... damn!

It feels like there's no breathing room for growth and experiences to allow the friendships and relationships to become more believable though in Crystal. I'm not saying it needs as much filler as the original anime (keep in mind this is coming from someone who really likes the 90's Sailor Moon anime) but more character moments where the main characters interact with each other outside of battle in a way that shows how they are as friends would be nice. (There was a brief scene like this in yesterday's episode.)

Also, Mamoru, sniffing Usagi's handkerchief why? >_< Especially at this early stage of the show. They're not even a couple yet.
Did she even give that to him or did he just take it without her knowing?

If it keep follow manga strictly, 14th episode will be end of 1st arc, and start Black Moon arc, with will end at 26th :)

Heh, the good thing about Crystal (and Kai to an extent), is that it'll make people realize that these so called "fillers' are what makes the show.

Redrawn scenes from Act 2. Wow, that's really a lot of redrawns, I'm very happy to see they fixed that derp Ami image at game center, it was really glaring

The fight was good but they basically derailed Minako's personality like they did with the others. As I said before the main engaging part is how they'll interpret the story. Kai's biggest problem for me was that it was the EXACT SAME story. Gah.

Amazing, they're really redrawing and correcting a LOT of shots!
If Toei started doing this on their production, it's likely that they'll do it on Dragon Ball for every new movie or series (including a remake) that they would do.

Meaning that fans complaining about weird drawings when it airs would not have to worry since pretty much all the bad drawings that rubbed them the wrong way would be redrawn and corrected for the disc release, meaning like a hundred shots refined for each episode.

Looks like a slight improvement over the Web Airing version but then they screwed up when they swapped that chick's skin colour to bleach. Yuck. Check the second link for it.

Just more reasons to not want Toei to reanimate Dragon Ball like Sailor Moon 2014, although if it were like they had those flashbacks in Battle of Gods then that'd be quite nice.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:

I'm gonna watch it later when there's time, but that's disappointing to hear about Minako. Do they at least use her manga backstory unlike the first time around?

To be honest, i didn't really noticed that much derailment in Minako personality, they cut out Rei telling Usagi that her intelligence lowered when she de transformed, and Usagi dad surprised that Usagi woke up so early, but, they keeped Minako backstory, they did it much better than in old anime, i also loved, how they cut Minako transformation phrases in this episode, as currently, she is known as Sailor V/Serenity :) Not sure how i feel about delete almost all comedy.

This is definitely my favorite episode so far. It was really interesting to hear her perform so much heavy material for Usagi in a single episode (the 90's series also had it's dark moments, but I don't recall that many of them being this weighty.) They also allowed the animators to visually emote Usagi much more than in earlier Crystal episodes; when she's worried about Mamoru near the end the faces she made...and then the resolution she showed at the end of the episode 'I won't be a tragic princess any more'. was nice! I really hope they can keep things up in the next episode.

This topic has now drifted towards Sailor Moon so considering this community's only about Dragon Ball shouldn't be locked?

P.S.: People should be grateful that Toei didn't Crystal'd Dragon Ball Kai.

I'd watch bishoujo-art-styled Dragon Ball. :3 (Ah, I know what you mean though; something redone all serious for DB I wouldn't have liked at all.)
Those 3D transformation sequences I could do without.

For me personally i would love, if they make entire anime in style of Ultimate Budokai cutscenes, instead of just poorly cut Z, and add badly reanimated scenes.

I'm trying to imagine what DB would look like in Shojo art.
