Will Buu Kai OST be released?

I´m liking certain pieces a whole lot, I would like to have a clear listen to them in good quality so I can learn about Sumitomo´s composition style.

But I fear the ost might not get released as a strict measure to not repeat the yamamoto scandal.

Anyone has any idea who to contact and ask if the soundtrack will be released?.

The first Batch of music should be ready for release, or maybe they want to make a complete collection and release it when buu kai ends.

I don't think it has to do with Yamamoto. He was a special case, since he had been doing this for many years. If they were THAT paranoid, they wouldn't use new music at all. And we know they couldn't do that with other anime.

One good thing that has come out of the Japanese airing is the likelihood of an OST release. If it had remained International only, it would most certainly not see a release. But it didn't, and now we're here.

I hope so, The orchestral sections of buu kai ost really appeal to me :C

Keep hope, 'cause my guess is that they'll release it, but not before the fourth ending single has been chosen, so that they can include all "TV size" edits of all singles on the OST.

If we're lucky, they'll also release the international songs, either on the regular OST or on a song collection, that partly depends on if those songs exist as full versions (which is possible if they planned to use them during episodes, such as the way Cell's arc ending on Dragon Soul) in which case they would belong to a Song Collection, or if they exist only as "TV size" edits (which is possible too since they were originally not planning on releasing it in Japan, and therefore likely not planning on having a soundtrack released) in which case they would all fit without any problem on the regular OST, like all "TV size" edits.

I'm optimistic - which might be a mistake - that the OST will be released as soon as the fourth, final Japanese ending has been released and can be included on the disc with the rest. Not before, so we'll have to be painfully patient.

I certantly hope we do get a release like black-liger said the orchestra compisitions are amazing. Heck I listened to the tv edits recap like 100 times today. Is there also any chance we will get the extended battle of god tracks in an ost?

One single-disc OST would only give us about half of everything that's been featured in Boo Kai so far. Maybe even less.

And I guess I *am* getting kinda worried about whether or not they'll decide to release any of Sumitomo's non-movie work at all. Hmmm...

I asked Sumitomo's manager about a soundtrack release and he said it's being planned, but nothing specific can be said at this time.

But at the same time it's kind of sad news that Volume 4 which we knew of to be by Yamamoto is going to be replaced by Sumitomo's music. All hope to have a clean copy of Kai's Gohan SSJ2's theme is gone (well, ever since the Yamamoto scandal happened).

It would be nice if they slipped some yamamoto pieces in the soundtrack as extras but that's hoping for too much xD
