I wish gaming would go back to the days of ''Do this or that to unlock this character or beat this character on the hardest difficulty to unlock his stuff etc'' Nothing I can do about it....people are obviously going to support it. so If I stub up and say ''I'm not gonna support these practices and just not buy the game'' while everyone else does and is enjoying the game, then I'm only cheating myself. might as well role with the punches....BUT! I don't know if I'll get the collectors edition or not. I guess it'll be around 80 or 90 dollars? and I agree with goku the krump dancer. I think they dropped the ball on the figure.

People will support it by purchasing the game alone but if they like getting ripped off for a character that should have been included with the rest of the game then it's their problem.

Bandai Namco's really shitty when it comes to Dragon Ball and content that should be part of it without any paywalls.

Hi guys, i just want to know your opinion regarding SSJ 4 Vegeta.
Do you think that he will be available to play as on the day 1 edition ( if there is one) instead of this collector's edition?
Or will he be released later as DLC much like Vegito and Bardock for BOZ?

Please enlighten me, as I am clueless on how they would normally do it, Thanks.

I'm sure he'll be released a few months after the game is out as DLC.

Pre-Ordering the game digitally (STEAM, XBL and PSN) will still give you all the DLC.
Thank god, I plan on buying more than one copy.

History shows that people have steadily but surely been doing that with Dragon Ball games. Nothing, as in not buying the most recent game because they've been burnt one too many times by their practises.
The rest of us that care will either call them on their bullshit and not buy it to make a statement...or call them on their bullshit but still bite the bullet one more time to get something they want, such as pre-ordering a game they would be getting anyway, for a character/thing that they wanted for free. Which I'll probably be doing, if I have the disposable cash when it comes out.

The one character I want to play as and it'll cost me 100€.. no thanks.

Nintendo attempted DLC with Mario Tennis for the 3DS but that flopped, though now they're going to release the Amiibo figures which won't have any kind of DLC except they'll be usable to help you out within the games it's going to work with (it brings up a bot that takes care of the enemies and such). Aside those moments, Nintendo is also going to release DLC for Mario Kart 8 and that is definitely worth getting because I played MK8 to death and there's no replay value any more.

I'm sure he'll be released a few months after the game is out as DLC.

Hopefully they will, they did do it for Battle of Z but it's still a rip off since they're included with the game, so I probably won't purchase it because it's immoral of them to do this bullshit.

I wanted to play as Battle of Z's "DLC" characters but didn't 'cause I refused to pay for what I already owned.

Read the whole post, start to finish. The steelcase, Vegeta and Armor DLCs are pre-order bonuses, not exclusive to the Trunks' Time Travel Edition.

Actually any preorder (with a adhering store of course) will give you Vegeta.
Only the Steam version's preorder is digital-only.

As myself and omegalucas had just said, the steelbook and DLCs are not exclusive to the Limited Edition. You can pre-order a physical PS4 copy from participating retailers and get the DLC.

Just remember, if you wait for it to drop in price you won't get the DLC.

Yeah.....I think I may pass on getting the CE. Just ain't worth it to me. Money is tight and I can't afford to give them that much money for such little content. because really all you're getting is the figure and the LE case. and in my opinion neither of them is worth it. Mayyyyyybe if they would have included the time travel trunks and some other cool things. Meh...Hopefully I'll be satisfied with the game though and that's all that matters.

If you're pre-ordering you really don't have a choice. You'll be paying full MSRP. That's how pre-ordering works. You can't PRE-order POST release on a sale.

I'm not sure how this works considering it's been a very long time since I pre-ordered any type of game. But couldn't you just flop down 5 bucks to pre-order and they give you a code for the dlc outfits and later on down the road you can just cancel your pre-order and still keep the code? I live so far from gamestop that I don't go much so I'm not sure how it works or if all the nonsense I said above would work. haha

Pre-order prices sometimes drop for a few hours so that some retailers get extra customers for that amount.

I've never paid beyond £40 and for this much I'm going to get Smash with the NGC adapter, so it'll cover up the cost pretty well.

Plenty of online retailers do pre-orders at slightly reduced prices. A few online stores from my country consistently sell newly released games and pre-orders at 10€ off MSRP, which is how I'll be getting it, if I manage the spare cash in time for it.
