How strong is Krillin?

It's more along the lines of a joke than anything else. Mr. Satan is often depicted as being a joke character, and a number of his "feats" were often depicted in a comic effect, and thus not to be taken seriously.

Krillin is not very strong, but it seems preposterous, that he and the other earthlings should be far inferior to base Saiyans in the android arc. Likewise it's equally preposterous that their power should have increased by that much, but that's the problem you get, when you look at it from a power level perspective.

Even if I can buy into the Tenshinhan < Krillin logic, it's still annoying it's told rather than shown. Much like the extra info that can't be found in the story, it'd be more satisfying, if it was actually shown in the story.

Except that Kuririn was clearly shown trading blows with people Ten had never been shown as capable of trading blows with.

can you name some of them. i mean personally i agree with krillin over tien. but all i remember him doing is training with 18 who was likely greatly holding back to begin with.

But that was way back in the Freeza arc.
We never get to see how they'd stack up against eachother in the Cell arc.

That still doesn't change that nothing shows or tells us Ten could do those things. So, your comment doesn't make much sense, Kuririn being stronger was clearly shown at one point and Ten was never shown being stronger than that. No reason to think it needs to be shown later that Kuririn is still stronger.

hyperbeing1 He made Gurd run away from his attacks, and traded blows with Ginyu in Goku's body who had a power level of ~23,000.

I'd like to see it, because they both improve from that time onwards and fight in the Cell arc, unlike Chaozu and Yajirobe.

When, so what, and an encounter we know nothing about does not qualify as evidence.
Which is why I put it in a separate sentence but it's an accomplishment nevertheless because Tao killed his mentor so he was clearly in a bloodlusted mood.

To the guy that said Mr. Satans feats are comedic: comedic or not they still happened, that's like saying bugs bunnys' feats don't count

Or Tao just felt like killing someone? He wasn't "clearly" anything. We don't know what happened.

They don't.

what about the whole tien stalling imperfect cell thing. true that the neo tri beam is a double edge sword and the reason it is so strong is it uses his life force and ki not just ki or at least that's the way i see it it is his strongest move does krillin have a stronger one.
again i favor krillin i just wanna make sure i understand both sides.

If one wanted to use Ten's encounter with Cell as an argument for him being stronger than Kuririn, they'd have to prove that Kuririn couldn't do the same thing with the Shin Kikoho. It's an extraordinarily "haxed" attack, the normal Kikoho being described as "many times more powerful" than the Kamehameha right from the beginning.

Kikoho uses ki just like any other ki technique.
Life force basically is ki.

i thought akira explained that ki is made of three parts and one of it is life force otherwise called genki.

First of all he didn't say it was made up of 3 parts, he was listing examples of what ones ki constitutes.
Second of all, Genki means health or vigour or something like that, I'm not sure. You could probably view the full quote in one of Herms' posts.
Finally Kikoho simply uses up ones' ki. Life force was something I think they came up with in the funi dub. In the series itself they just say ki and I think Kame-sennin also used the term energy. The fact that using it shortens Tenshinhan's life just means that, not that he used another energy source, than the one everybody else were using.

1) doesn't that mean what something is made up of .
this is a quote from dragon ball wiki can you tell if this is accurate or if their is a interview where he says this .
According to Akira Toriyama, ki is made up of three components: Genki (元気; lit. "Energy"), Yūki (勇気; lit. "Courage") and Shōki (正気; lit. "Mind"). Also, ki can be "positive" or "negative", depending on the user.
2) if you can tell me where that will hope i am a big fan of herms work.
3) your likely right on there. though i wonder why considering there are other attacks that use full power but do not seem to limit your life span. in other fiction it is usually you are drawing on your life force so that's why i kinda of thought that.

ok anyway what do you think on this whole tien vs krillin thing.
me pesonaly i think tien has some better moves then krillin that pack more power or are slightly cooler. where as krillin is more powerful on average but uses moves that focus more on technique .
though the kikoho and destructo disk are pretty cool in there own way effecting people who are supposed to be many time greater then the users base level.

The reason Ten stalling Cell with a Kikoho isn't very relevant is because base Trunks could toss future Cell around with a kiai. That's not even a ki attack.
