Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection 'F'"
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
It was an interesting sendoff. I liked the respect nod Kishimoto and Oda gave each other in the issue (Naruto's end page and OP's cover page).
On hiatus.
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
I expected a small message from Toriyama like the other authors, but I guess they only asked those who are still serializing.
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
While I am sad for Naruto fans, I could never get into that series for some reason, kinda like a can't get into One Piece either.
Back to the 2015 movie, I was wondering if Toei animation could promote this movie differently then BoG, like different time frames and stuff, or does Toei animation always do it close to the same?

My only proven with that ending was Sakura forgiving sasuke so easily. I mean COME ON the guy tried to kill you more than onceDragonBalllKaiHD wrote:Now that Naruto has closed out after fifteen years of serializing (it has a nice ending, some are what I expected), I am not surprised there are no updates regarding 2015 Dragon Ball Z movie.

The second strongest guy in the comic doesn't so easily 'mean to kill' but fail to kill someone he actually means to kill.Dbzk1999 wrote:My only proven with that ending was Sakura forgiving sasuke so easily. Anywho, I suppose I should try to tie this post back into Dragon Ball. It's too bad this wasn't used as a chance to get new word out, but there's still a good month for that.

Same reason Kakashi, Naruto, and Sakura forgave him. He carries the blood guilt for the rest of his life.Dbzk1999 wrote:My only proven with that ending was Sakura forgiving sasuke so easily. Piccolo,Yamcha and tien were killed on Vegeta's orders plus everything else he did but after awhile they and everyone else forgave him so if he can get a second chance then Sasuke can too.Dbzk1999 wrote:I mean COME ON the guy tried to kill you more than once
And with Sasuke being on par with Naruto it's not like they can do anything to him so it's for the best that they're on his good side.

Just a note about Naruto's ending
I loved Oda's Message. Kishimoto was spoiled by a lot of people. Respect.

I am a little shocked that there was no message from Toriyama in Jump. As the defacto 'Godfather' of modern Shonen, it sort of feels expected that he should be somehow involved in the fanfare.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
I agree. I understand them still caring for Sasuke because he was your friend, romantic feelings after everything he had done? Ugh... But Kishi really needed someone to pop out Sarada (Salad?) and Sakura was the only one out of her mind who might have been willing to do it. Horrible pairing, but I get where this is coming from. *shrug*Dbzk1999 wrote:My only proven with that ending was Sakura forgiving sasuke so easily. Yeah, but like some people already said, only mangakas that are active did.Blade wrote:I am a little shocked that there was no message from Toriyama in Jump. As the defacto 'Godfather' of modern Shonen, it sort of feels expected that he should be somehow involved in the fanfare.
Toriyama is focused in making another great movie right now.

I hope the movie is a decent lenght from the get go this time around, at least 100 minutes. One Piece Strong World was over 110 minutes so there's no reason this couldn't be. I know they had the extended edition later but I'd rather they just start off long.
I also hope that because of how well the last one did and how well the next will surely do that they'll increase the budget a good amount because BoG did look a little shoddy in some places.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
BOG initially had over 120 minutes of length, still ended up 105 minutes if we take the Director's Cut. I guess this movie will also be cut and have an average theatrical run-time(85-95 minutes) and an extended edition(up to 120 minutes). But if Toriyama did promise much of action scenes, then it should be longer.Bullza wrote:I hope the movie is a decent lenght from the get go this time around, at least 100 minutes. So how upset or not upset would you guys be if the title of the movie was indeed Battle of Gods 2? Seriously?
I think I would be upset only because that really doesn't give us much direction to talk about, other then that Beerus & Whis would likely be back in some role; which would be fine as he's my favorite character now after Vegeta, but still... hard to get excited about the #2 unless your the count from sesame street
(RiP Jerry Nelson).

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread
Anything under 90 minutes is just way too short. Road to Ninja was 109 minutes and Film Z was about the same. The latest HxH, Pokemon, Bleach and Detective Conan are all a good 95-100 minutes too so there's really no need for a DBZ movie to be so short. It's a could thing the extended edition came out really otherwise at 85 minutea that'd be pretty pitiful.Low Tone G wrote:BOG initially had over 120 minutes of length, still ended up 105 minutes if we take the Director's Cut. I wouldn't be upset, but this title wouldn't be like Battle of Gods 2, but something like: The Return of Gods or The Godly Rematch.... However I do not think the title will be strictly sticking to the God issue from BOG, but rahter to the character who will be resurrected, and that will generate despair. I still think that the movie it will be something like: The True Despair To Face or The Hopeless War or even a very long title like: The Return of The One Who Provokes Despair To Shake The Godly Dimension!!!
