What if everyone just ganged up on Imperfect Cell?

What if, after Imperfect Cell absorbed all those people, everyone just ganged up on him?

Let's say Cell appeared right before Kamiccolo and 17 fight. Everyone except 16 jumps in. Vegeta and Future Trunks don't go inside the chamber and instead joins in.

Goku, out of character move, takes every living Namekian on new Planet Namek and IT them to Earth.

That would be Imperfect Cell (Post-Absorptions) VS Kamiccolo, 17, 18, SSJ Goku, SSJ Vegeta, SSJ Future Trunks, Gohan, Tien, Yamcha, Krillin, Chiaotzu, Yajirobe, Roshi, Korin, Popo, Chi Chi, Ox King, Mr. Satan, Cyborg Tao (hired by King Dog to kill Cell) and over 100 Namekians from new Planet Namek.

No SSJ2 and no one tries to save anyone from dying, as that would get in the way. No self destructing or planets blowing up.

Desperate, everyone just attacks.

They get Tien to Neo Tri Beam him and thus buy time for the others to give Goku their energy towards the spirit bomb which would easily be more than enough to finish him off.

They get Tenshinhan to Neo Tri Beam him and thus buy time for the others to give Goku their energy towards the spirit bomb which would easily be more than enough to finish him off.

And if they didn't use this tactic, could they beat Cell?

The Earthlings distract Cell with the Solar Flare while the other Z Fighters give Goku all their energy who then uses an instant Kamehameha to engulf and vapourise Cell completely.

I believe the gap between Cell and the strongest person on the other team is too high for any kind of "ganging up" method to work. Piccolo and #17 weren't strong enough to do anything to Cell on their own, and while the other characters might prove to be some kind of distraction, I doubt that it'd be a significant enough distraction to actually result in them getting the upper hand in the fight at all (barring Goku managing to gather enough for a Genki Dama to defeat him).

It would be so hard to co-ordinate an attack like that, it'd work better if it was just 16,17 and piccolo.
They could actually predict each other's tactics better and create a well synchronised assault.

I feel like with so many people attacking one opponent the stronger characters may get distracted or put off and then critically hit by cell.
