Question About "Bttle of Gods" Engrish Songs

Do we know why English (or, to be more honest, Engrish) versions of the vocal songs in BoG were made? Whose idea was it, and why?

Suffice to say, I'm not a fan of the results and think they should have either let FUNimation dub the songs or just keep them in Japanese. So I'm wondering who thought it would be a good idea to make Engrish versions.

I think for the same reason the Fight It Out was made, to use it on International market.
I think that somewhat the mind of the Japanese producers snapped. In my childhood, what we got was dubbed or completely redone openings for any other series that was from abroad and not in english.
Later, when the anime craze and weaboo stuff exploded, we started to get the Japanese openings unedited, as all the series purists watched these and were pissed about remakes before.
Now it looks like it went really crazy, and Japanese producers think that as we don't understand Japanese and so are robbed from the message the song sends us (like I care about that horrible music at all),
they will support us with OFFICIAL ENGLISH lyrics..... You know the rest, hahaha.

PS: This probably doesn't apply to the older Cha-la and We Gotta Power, as I also know, that Japanese find english cool, so they were probably made as cool addition for the people to buy?
All I wrote is just my fun theory based on my observations.
