Wanted a new villain. Why bring back Freeza? Yamcha always gets new outfits. Sad Kuririn's hair is gone. What's that symbol on Gokû's shirt? Looks like a の. At least it's not Brolli? This poster looks better organized. I hope that's a new outfit Gokû's got. Hey Beers and Whis. Man I hope them being there means some more ssjg Gokû. Wondering if we're not gonna get to see all those other universes since its just Freeza. At least we get some Ryusei Nakao?

Might be jumping the gun, but then I can't see how he'd be relevant otherwise. That'd be hilariously stupid though.

The idea of two goons successfully bringing back Freeza sounds more like the set up for something like the Jump special - especially since it's been played straight so often in fanfiction, I'd expect it to play out with Freeza being revived and then immediately curbstomped. And even that would have been stale at this point, but nowhere near as bad as keeping it serious.

Is there any chance of this being fake?

I didn't want a movie to tell about all the 11 unknown universes, but that would be waaay better than a God Frieza. I would be really happy to be a fake, but I guess it's not.

I just hope that if it's our Freeza: 1) it gets explained why his soul wasn't purified, 2) it gets explained why he gets Godly Ki, 3) He doesn't get Godly Ki and his revival only awakens the real main villain.

Can't say I'm happy about this revelation. I don't want more of Freeza, so I'd be happy, if this was some kind of red herring and his revival brings despair in some other way than him being the main villain, but that doesn't look likely.
If it does turn out that Freeza will be the main villain, then that once and for all truly does show him to be one of the main antagonists of the series. It has been annoying me slightly that the last three features managed to mention Freeza to some extent.

The premise is utter fucking bullshit fan masturbatory trash (on paper) though so I hope it actually brings something worthwhile to the table. Battle of Gods was so good because it actually had real character development that wasn't just surface level like in many of the other films.

Having Beerus and Whis reappear is definitely the most interesting aspect. It finally lets Dragon Ball use other characters who don't just get beaten down within 20 seconds.

I despise power level bullshit but uh...how is this going to work? Super Mega Powerful Freeza Revival Boost?!
