Um, he was never revived with the Earth Dragon Balls.

Yes, I would find it silly, if Future Trunks getting revived by the Dbs would mean present Trunks couldn't.
Oddly Gohan mentions in the Cell arc, that no one except Trunks could be revived, despite the fact, that Tenshinhan and Yamcha had yet to be revived by the Earth dbs.

Or Chaozu. Or Gohan himself.

I forgot about that but i still don't think he'll get killed but probably close to being so.

Maybe he forgot they were brought back by the Namek dragon.

No, just Freeza as far as anyone's aware.

So what if Frieza gets relegated to Emperor Pilaf role throughout the majority of the film? I mean, Akira did say the movie would be "utterly funny" or something...
"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super

He never said that.

It was just a rumor like the one saying he wanted this story in the manga.

Chaozu was brought back by the Earth dbs in the Piccolo Daimao arc, don't you remember? :P

So when are we expecting a full length trailer to hit for this? My excitement is back up to the level it was when we first got the announcement in the summer!

Oh yes, I forgot.

So, Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Boo, Tenshinhan and Yamcha can still all be revived by the Earth DBs.

Probably in December.

That's optimistic. This year I think we'll get a teaser, if anything. January is a safer bet for a theatrical trailer - these sorts of productions are normally rushed out of the door. Animation production will be ongoing almost up until the last one or two weeks before the premiere, whilst a trailer needs to have a polished feel about it that is representative of the finished article.

Hi guys,

I just made this new version of the poster to compare the old Namek saga with the new movie. I especially insist on the new god's ki of Freezer completelly different then before !!

Image

I'm pretty happy with the choice of Freeza, because he's the main vilain of the saga since he was supposed to be the last ennemy of Goku in the manga before the Toriyama's editors forced him to continue drawing Dragonball !! He is very important and he is the center of the story for many characters such as the saiyen. The gods know him as the main tyrant of the universe and even Bills mentionned him in BoG !!

That looks pretty good. But it also worries me how easy you could find matches for each poster spot...as if the plotlines between the Namek arc and this film couldn't be too different...

Still, I'm loving all the theories being thrown out!

Hey, nice artwork, man!

I certainly hope this movie turns out great! I'm still looking forward to it.

Thanks guys.

BTW, I don't get why so many of you could think of Goten istead of Gohan when we know Goten looks younger then ever in Battle of Gods:

Image

Do you guys really think the New Movie will take place 10 years (or more) after Battle of Gods ?
I really don't think so. Gohan, Piccolo and Krilin are on the poster just because they were on Namek to fight Freeza a few years before !!

This is why the site has the "Intended Ending Guides" page. I'd recommend reading it, it's pretty interesting stuff.

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.
