I didn't even notice that, sweet! I wonder if the Freeza clansmen and Majin races will also have some kind of transformation mechanic to even the score as well? For humans, they could make it where certain movies (like Kaio-ken) are exclusive to them, or make them the only ones allowed to get an 'Ultimate' transformation, or something.

I'm meh about the giant forms. If anything id have preferred the red eyed form from the DBO tournament intro. Looking back on the fight between Goku and Piccolo at the Tenkaichi Budokai, the giant form was pretty much useless. He was no more lighter and strength wise Piccolo didnt seem to get stronger at all.

Kaio-Ken was available to Saiyans in the network test so I doubt it will be a human exclusive. Majin transformations are a total unknown since the female is already like Kid Buu. For Freeza race, its tricky. I doubt we get a 5th form because they can wear outfits like Goku and Piccolo's clothes and the 5th form puts them at Broly level heights. Unless the clothes stretch, transforming would shred them.

Actually, Great Namek in DBO was considered the strongest out of the three transformations. Not only could you tank greatly, but you could deal a lot of damage to boot.

Well yeah videogames can always tweak things around for balancing purposes but from the manga standpoint, the giant form seemed only useful for increasing your attack range.

Well KaioKen was proven useless after Super Saiyan was introduced and yet we keep seeing that in games.

With Beerus and Whis getting confirmed I hope that means we'll get the new movie characters as well.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Kaio-ken was kept in games for Goku because it was essential to the story. In short it was a plot element. But yes for custom Saiyans, Kaio-ken is useless after Super Saiyan and it would far more beneficial to races like the Namekians and Freeza race.

I don't think it's a DBO giant Namekian akin to Piccolo or Slug. While it wasn't in the beta, we know that we can change the avatar's body size from the promo videos (varying sizes of fat majins specifically). I think it's just a Namekian with a large, Nappa-like body frame.

Possibly being compared to a smaller than usual human as well.

edit: No wait, that's just 18. Thought it was a custom character looking similar to her.

But Piccolo completely dwarfs Goku. It's also possible that Cooler was just particularly tall for his kind, and Freeza and Chilled are more in line with average... whatever-they-ares. So the default fifth form whatever-they-ares would be shorter. But then there's Cold...

A character's original size is pretty irrelevant since the clothes just scale to them to begin with. Transformations altering body sizes would be the only real issue. Because even if it was only a foot, unless the clothes are stretchy, they wouldn't look the same on a larger body. But, this is also a game, so I doubt any fucks are truly given. Function over logic.

Cold could have his size written off as his mutation while Freeza's could be his immense strength and Cooler having rapid Ki accumulation. We know the family are mutants of their race but nothing says the mutation has to be the same for all of them.

Its true Cooler is roughly Goku's height while Freeza came up to his chest. We got any clear screens of Froze being compared to Goku or any of the other characters in terms of height? We see him in front of Freeza but Freeza is in his first form as well as in the hover chair so I wouldent really consider that a clear example.

Well, it's not like Piccolo's transformation gave any fucks about the logic behind his clothes scaling with them.

Any further details on whether or not color editing of established character clothing will or will not be allowed? It would be a step backwards from Ultimate Tenkaichi, which allowed us to do so with every available item. Because I REALLY dont wanna use all the items I had in mind only to look unicorn diarrhea.

You an me both, bro. I really don't enjoy giant forms and was hoping Xenoverse avoided it for the Namekian transformations. Well, at least I know now that I won't be wasting any slots on transformations for my Namekian.
