Gast special was the best special chapter in DBM. Hell, it was better than some of the main chapters.

I recently reread all the chapters of this impressive fanmanga and in the very first chapter there was something that piqued my interest, given my existing knowledge of future events.
Here in the bottom middle we see Paragus' spaceship outside the Tournament ring like the other spaceships from different universes.
Was there ever given a reason as to why Paragus' ship was there? since Paragus himself isn't around by the looks of it.
Had Salagir perhaps not completely thought out how events would unfold for U20 Broly, making the spaceship an inconsistency?

They probably just used its design as a cameo.

The whole fight with King Cold felt like it took forever. Gast should have ended the whole fight in one blow.

Everything involving Gast is bad. Except for that special's art.

He's probably referring to the Bardock special. Zarbon was the one who first recommended destroying Planet Vegeta because the saiyans were rapidly growing in strength.
It was actually Beerus disguised as Zarbon #StayWoke
Herms wrote:The fact that the ridiculous power inflation is presented so earnestly makes me just roll my eyes and snicker. Like with Freeza, where he starts off over 10 times stronger than all his henchmen except Ginyu (because...well, just because), then we find out he can transform and get even more powerful, and then he reveals he can transform two more times, before finally coming out with the fact that he hasn't even been using anywhere near 50% of his power. Oh, and he can survive in the vacuum of space. All this stuff is just presented as the way Freeza is, without even an attempt at rationalizing it, yet the tone dictates we're supposed to take all this silly grasping at straws as thrilling danger. So I guess I don't really take the power inflation in the Boo arc seriously, but I don't take the power inflation in earlier arcs seriously either, so there's no net loss of seriousness. I think a silly story presented as serious is harder to accept than a silly story presented as silly.

I don't think he was strong enough to do that at that point. He even stated that he could only use the attack that finished Cold because he was weaker.

Also, it might have seem to take a while but it only lasted 15 pages. And some of those were just about Vegeta and Cui.

I'm not very excited for this Special chapter. It already looks so boring.

Paragus might've been in the spectators. Or were only competitors allowed ships?
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

I just want to know more about Universe 13 and how Vegeta has SSJ2 (and now SSJ3) while Kakarotto only has SSJ (though he may have more power up his sleeve) and Nappa and Raditz have nothing but Oozaru. Also, why do they have their tails while Vegeta and Goku do not?

*Wow, the Universe of the Super Saiyans with only two Super Saiyans  *

I'm failing to see why Bojack and his gang being scientifically enhanced soldiers is a bad thing. It certainly explains their violent tendencies and why they have crazy mutant powers.
Favorite Movies: Alien, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, The Thing, Evil Dead, The Land Before Time
Favorite Shows: Cardcaptor Sakura, Doctor Who, Wallace and Gromit, Wakfu, Yu Yu Hakusho
Favorite Manga: Fullmetal Alchemist, Hunter x Hunter, Dragon Ball

It is so mundane, that's why. You got evil genies, and bio-mechanical bug men, and even robotic serial killers, and then you got...super solders. Herp derp, whoopy fucking doo.

How is a evil bio-enginered super-soldier more mundane than evil human androids?

Taking steroids, vs altered into a machine. Gee, I wonder.

They are both very old and simple notions, actually.

Perhaps, would be cooler though, if it wasn't irrelevant.
Saiga wrote:Paragus might've been in the spectators. Or were only competitors allowed ships?
Who knows? I thought all the spectators were just brought along with the Vargas ship.
It's probably a cameo like Rereboy said or maybe Salagir wanting to have Paragus in the story, but changing his mind about it. I just thought it was interesting and it with Salagir's level of planning it could have been important.

Saiyans didn't need explanation. It was cool to see another race, the Hera-seijin, be so strong and have natural transformations like the Saiyans.

To me it's just weirdly irrelevant. Up until now all the specials have been directly related to DBM. They're either explanations about how each universe came to be or backstories for the characters specific to DBM like Gast or U16 Bra. This is just an arbitrary Bojack fan fiction. At best it will explain those girls with him at the tournament but inventing a history whole cloth for an official Dragon Ball character only opens DBM up to further cases of potential contradiction by future DBZ material. It doesn't aid DBM at all. It's just a random "hey, here's what I think Bojack's heretofore unmentioned backstory might be." I think of this special in the same way I think of the arbitrarily altered Bardock special; why needlessly screw with or expand on the canon material when DBM's premise hinges on U18 being "the Dragon Ball you know"?

Pretty sure that premise was abandoned in the first few chapters, where Broly was said to have shown up U18.
