English dubbed Battle of Gods Flow Music
Will it ever be released? I heard Cha La Head Cha La and Hero both sung in english by flow in the theater, but will there be full english versions of both of them released to the public? I know some people hate the Japanese singers trying to speak english, but for some reason I really really enjoy the english version of Hero a lot. More so than the Japanese. I don't know why but I do. I really hope there will be a full version.

Re: English dubbed Battle of Gods Flow Music
I believe I've heard it on YouTube.
And, to be fair, I didn't enjoy it at all.
I first saw the movie in Japanese, with the song in Japanese too, and it fit the scene IMO. When I rewatched it and the song was in English, and to me the scene felt like a badly done AMV. Same with Chala Head Chala at the end. I didn't even understand what the lyrics were most of the time.
I believe that they didn't want their songs to be dubbed. In that case, they could have made everyone use the Japanese version rather than making an English one.

Re: English dubbed Battle of Gods Flow Music
I was going to make a new topic about this, but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to ask here.
I heard something about Engrish theme songs for the old DBZ themes existing (and possibly DB and DBT as well, but they already have proper English versions). Could anyone fill me in on this?

Hironobu Kageyama made English versions of his three DBZ theme songs. This was back in the 90s. More recently, Hiroki Takahashi made an English version of Makafushigi Adventure!. In the Philippines, there was a whole CD of English versions of Dragon Ball and Z songs. Possibly more (if they made them for use in the show).

Whaaa? How have I never heard this.linkdude20002001 wrote:More recently, Hiroki Takahashi made an English version of Makafushigi Adventure!.
Anyway, I would be interested to hear what an actually (in my opinion anyway) good English version of Flow's Head-Cha-La and Hero sounds like, and since FUNimation isn't allowed to give them to us, I await an intrepid fan-dubber to take care of the job for us.

Re: English dubbed Battle of Gods Flow Music
Thanks for the list! I looked up the English versions of the DBZ Openings and Ending 2. They sound epic!
It's kind of funny. The lyrics are incomprehensible listening without reading them, but the words come clearly while you're reading lyrics. I'll look up the English version of the DB Opening, too. I'm curious to see how it compares to Jimi Tunell's version, and the Harmony Gold one.

I did not care for the english version of the songs. They were alright but I just prefer the japanese versions just like most other dbz songs.

Re: English dubbed Battle of Gods Flow Music
Does anybody know where the English version of HERO's lyrics can be located? I've seen several versions of the lyrics being floated about and they mostly seem wrong. Maybe it's because I'm hearing the song wrong? But I'm sure the first line in the English version is "Reality can put you to the test from time to time." not "Reality could put you through the test of time." or "Reality could put you through the tests sometimes a trial."
Edit: Just noticed the site has the English lyrics translated as "Reality could put you through the test of time." But no matter how many times I listen to the song it does not sound like that. XD
