I honestly don't see the issue or the need of giving new powerlevels. It wouldn't cause a dramatic change in the story. But at least I think it would be interesting to see Toriyama's perspective about his characters and bring some nostalgia back on the early Freeza Arc.

I wouldn't be so surpised if Mystic Gohan's power level were only several 100 millions. As we are talking about new-type scouters...

I really hope they don't bring power levels back. I just don't trust Toriyama to keep them logically consistent with the Freeza arc. However, I trust him to make a good story, which for me is the essence of Dragon Ball rather than power levels or who's stronger than whom.

Didn't Toriyama say that he dislikes the whole power level concept because it took away from the creative freedom in fights? From what I understand, that's why he dropped them after the Freeza saga.

As far as I know, he has only ever said this about scouters:

I don't care much about actual numbers per se. They certainly make it easier when it comes to PL lists, but actual feats are more fun to work with. For instance, if Freeza says in this movie that Tagoma is much stronger than Ginyu, and then Krillin proceeds to beat the living snot out of him. We now know that Krillin is much stronger than Ginyu at this point in the story. Or if Freeza says nothing, and then Tagoma proceeds to fight evenly with Piccolo. Then we would know that Tagoma is, at the very least, around Semi-Cell level, considering he'd be fighting evenly with a Piccolo that's been training for 15 years after the Cell Games, in which he'd probably be much stronger.

*Note: These are just examples. The statements above have absolutely nothing to do with the manga or this new movies. I'm just trying to explain my point about judging power based off feats.*

JulieYBM, I know this sounds crazy, but I can't help but imagine just how 2015 Dragon Ball Z movie would be awesome if it's animated almost exactly like the way the Ultimate Blast opening was animated. I just got around to watching the opening again and everything was so eye-popping.

Notice how Tate animated his cuts in the opening? The high contrast colors, his line work, the smooth key frames. This is what kind of has been missing from the recent Dragon Ball projects. Ryou Oonishi and Naotoshi Shida are both hitting the nail when it comes to Dragon Ball. They know exactly what to do with it.

Gosh, how would it be nice if Naoki Tate, Naotoshi Shida, Ryou Oonishi, and Takeo Ide are all animation supervisors with some drawing freedom without the hassle from Yamamuro Tadayoshi.

Tate Naoki would make for a nice character designer for the franchise, that's for sure. He's now sharing the role with Yamamuro Tadayoshi for Disk Wars: Avengers, so I sort of doubt he will be too involved with Fukkatsu no F, especially in light of his correcting half of Disk Wars: Avengers Episodes #29-30. Oonishi Ryou is character designer and chief animation supervisor for Majin Bone right now, so I doubt he will be available to work on Fukkatsu no F before the film has to be finished. We're all pretty sure Shida Naotoshi has been doing a huge number of cuts for HappinessCharge PreCure Episode #43 (airing 06 December 2014), so I doubt he's begun working on Fukkatsu no F. Since he has no other prior engagements he could probably work on the film from here on out. The last time Shida updated about his current work was 19 October, the day before he began working on PreCure again. He's also been dealing with some arm pain, so that might have also contributed to a recent lack of output. I just noticed that Shida did work with Yamamuro Tadayoshi on the Dragon Ball Kai Ending that began with Episode #124 (he was credited for 'Ending Assistance') so I have to imagine Yamamuro asked Shida if he wanted to work on Fukkatsu no F. If Hatano Morio can get Shida to work on PreCure for a month I don't see why Yamamuro can't do similar, especially if he offers Shida full control like Hosoda did for Kami to Kami.

It's a shame Tate is busy, I'd love to see him handle an eating scene like he did in One Piece Episode #532.

I hope that there ARE Battle Power readings in is movie. I want there to be Battle Powers and I want them to be numbers that are completely different than anyone expected. I want them to mess up fan debates harder than a Power of Love Vegeta punch! I thought it was so cool when the entire concept of what's ACTUALLY stronger was flipped by those two moments in BoG and I loved how much it pissed some people off. I want to see that happen again.

If we get battle powers in the old units we're used to, I imagine they will only be for lesser characters. Sorbet? Tagoma? Maybe Videl and Mr. Satan?
(YES! I'd LOVE for Mr. Satan to somehow have an absolutely HUGE ki reading, but being so inept at the skill, he can't ever access it.)

Characters like Gohan and Vegeta would probably still break them, and the machines probably wouldn't even know what to do with Beerus, Whis, "God" Goku and (God) Freeza.

Speaking of Disk Wars: Avengers, it seems that they have been using models from Dragon Ball quite a bit. This is noticeable with Hulk. I guess this is what you get for having been animators for the franchise for over twenty years. That or they like Toriyama's style so much that they want to use it on Disk Wars: Avengers.

Is that Avengers series a regular 52 eps, or is it another Pokémon where they'll keep making episodes until it's no longer profitable? I know it passed the 24 episode mark a while back.

I'm asking because I'm looking for ways to hope 「F」 gets some Shida animation.

Yeah, Yamamuro did give the show a sort of Dragon Ball look. I wonder if there were some plans at one point to do something or if there were simply a need for a character designer and Yamamuro was the first person they could get.

I think it's just four cours, so far as Head Writer King Ryuu knows. We'll see, because so far it's been promoting the recent Marvel movies a lot by having guest characters for story arcs.

And also probably Gohan and Freeza, just because Gohan is so much more powerful than he was on Namek and I'm hoping we see a good fight from them two.

I want another Buu/Beerus moment. That was my favorite part of the last movie.
