I think in this movie both Goku and Vegeta will defeat Freeza. I don't think Vegeta will defeat Freeza alone, the ''savior'' role is not suitable for him.

I think people are wrong to assume Goku is the sole winner here (though he may be). They don't show Vegeta fighting at all... I think on purpose. BOG already showed that he has hidden potential that came out without him achieving God status at all. He was able to go toe-to-toe for a moment with Beerus without any real power-up. He may have something that is hidden inside that comes out again after this training. I think he is the true winner of the fight and the trailer doesn't want to give that away.

I also think him training with Goku will close the gap on their inequality in power a bit. If not unexpectedly give him the upper hand now that he is a good guy.

I am confused. ^^;

All I implied is there's comedic value to be found in "Vegeta and Gokû as classmates". :3 No more than that.

I was just quoting you to say I agree with that and then further expressed my thoughts on their training together. I forgot to actually say I agreed with you though ahhaa. I think their training together means they'll be closer to equal in power finally. Ultimately. So I think Vegeta may get to be the one to have the victory for a change. Maybe.

Whoa, I wasn't expecting the full trailer so quickly! Definitely doesn't seem to show a lot that we didn't already see or know, but still great to see. Although...I'm still not sure if I buy this 'alternate timeline' thing or not, but I am definitely starting to think that Goten and Trunks either won't appear or will be firmly in the background, because we don't even get to see them here, and that's...startling.

Why? Just because he killed him originally? That may be true, but Freeza suffered his first embarrassment at the hands of Goku. A fate probably worse then death to him.

Also seems kind of weird that anyone would want to wish him back considering how he treated his subordinates. Even more bizarre is how long they waited.

I have partly lost focus on "is it altered reality or not" because I can't get the image of school-parody comic with Vegeta as the tough-looking transfer student, Whis as the teacher, and Beerus asleep at his school-desk out of my mind and I'm going to go draw that now. *_*

It is weird though, for Goten and Trunks to be mysteriously-absent.

If we're not in rewritten Uni 7; I also have a boring theory where they're absent because they've been held hostage.

I didn't see this before but yeah, the more and more they make these movies I think the more obvious it is that putting all of the storylines in that little space between the end of the Buu arc and the very end of the manga/anime is very limiting. GT should just be forgotten so Toriyama can take the story wherever he wants it to go. Because the events of BOG and this movie already pretty much cancel out what happens at the end with Uub.

Every key animator draws differently, even if they're from the same sub-contracting studio and trained under the same animation supervisor. There are no teams in animation anymore, either, as schedules are too short.

Not necessarily. I still think that Oob's potential could be the real thing that Goku is interested in, not his currently available amount of power...or, well, current potential...I...guess...

Okay, let me re-phrase. Oob is a ten year old that already has the potential to be just as strong as Kid Boo was. As he trains to be able to use said power, there's no telling how much more potential power he's going to have in reserve, just like with Gohan. So I think it's what Oob can become that Goku finds so intriguing. That and, though it's a much smaller part of things than 'I really wanna fight him!', Goku does seem to realize that eventually someone else is gonna have to be around to defend the Earth, because he won't always be.

It's called using a key animator of little ambition and asking him to draw a character in the background when he has little time and little incentive to draw something good because the sooner he finished the sooner he can work on another cut and make more money.
