I'd rather see how Vegeta relates to the original Super Saiyan God. The red silhouette of him looked exactly like him.

It was probably just using Vegeta design because it's easier and reconitable.

They were released by the animation studio along with the complete trailer. Notice that the same logo on Goku's outfit is on Vegeta's outfit as well. That might be a symbol stating that they have been trained under a certain teacher (Whis)?

Gokû and Vegeta have never trained together, and now they're potentially going to be classmates. The comedic potential! I love it. :3

A shame Bra never had much of a role in EoZ and GT. "Bulma with superpowers" could have been amazing.

To think that Toriyama says EoZ is not interesting because the characters are too old... I don't agree; Pan and Bra could easily have been the new Goten and Trunks.

Interviewer: Why did you set the movie a few years after the battle with Majin Buu?

Toriyama: It’s because I thought that period would be best in terms of timing, because at that time, everyone’s reached nearly perfect strength; during the Uub era after that, everyone’s gotten too old; and almost the whole cast of characters is there.

Trunks was ok; at least he had attitude, even if he was annoying. Goten was just kinda there to power up Trunks. Gotenks even acts waaaay more like a suped-up Trunks than a mix between the two.

I noticed at the end of Kai this week, there was a teaser for Fukkatsu no F which contained a clearer shot of Freeza from the end of the official one.

KAI PREVIEW:

The blurred out one used in the trailer looks unfinished compared to the Kai one. Interesting.

Also, based on some of these new screenshots, it does look to have a higher grade of detail put into the backgrounds than what BOG got.

I personally don't think Trunks is uninteresting, given his cockiness and contrast to Future Trunks' modesty. Goten is. I mean, besides being the youngest Super Saiyan (which I found beyond lame) and his relationship with Trunks, he's too similar to Kid Goku in appearance and gullibility; his entire design screams unoriginality. His English voice is incredibly grating too (BoG voice was good, imo). Grown up Goten is one of the most bland and terrible characters in the series. Then again, they messed up teenage Trunks more. =P

I'm not sure why they were uninteresting to Dark Prince, but my reasoning was they just weren't well developed characters.

They were just thrown into the show as these powered up characters with barely any training at all. I would've liked to see them work for their power.

To be honest I used to love them as a kid growing up with the series, but watching the series again later on... every time I see them, nothing sparks. I have no excitement for them. You figure those kids that can transform into Super Saiyans at such a young age would have incredible potential. Then they grow up... and become even less interesting. Trunks isn't that mischievous kid that he was anymore. (which was the only thing I liked about him, the "Vegeta influence" I'd call it). Goten was stupid. And I feel like Chichi gave up on him once he went Super Saiyan. He only seems to know how expensive things are. Then he grows up to be some kinda mac with the women. Don't even know strong he is in comparison to anyone else. Lame. I like them less than Gohan.

The only time I can give them props is in that god awful Bio Broly Movie. They held it down. P.O.P!

Yep. Goten is just kinda... there. Trunks has at least some personality, but Goten? His personality is just "cheerful child who follows Trunks around". His design is literally just kid Goku in a different outfit. The only techniques he knows are flight and the Kamehameha (unless you count generic little ki bullets). His only solo fights have been with Trunks and Abo, both of which weren't life-and-death battles, but just games. He's just very generic, and exists entirely to give Trunks a higher power level so he can be Gotenks. Who, as noted, is basically just an exaggerated version of Trunks with almost no Goten in there.

Speaking from personality I prefer Goten's than Trunks'. Trunks was arrogant, while Goten was shy. Then, they grew up and Goten surpassed Yamcha, Kuririn, Oolong and Kame Sen'nin, while Trunks became... President of Capsule Corp.
