I posted it here a couple days ago from the images of the movie pamphlet DongHyun sent me. Julian then later posted a larger image of a section of it on Twitter saying we had a confirmed timeframe. There will probably be a Kanzenshuu update on the pamplet when Julian has time to do the translations?

Bulma indeed exaggerating is probably most likely, remembering that this is the same woman who says she's 38 in BOG,

About the Bulma case: maybe she will maybe see Goku, fighting in the air, but maybe not able to speak to him. When you say "long time no see" to someone, it means at least "long time no speak together". So I'm not too nervous about this potential mistake !!
I'm really interested in the training session that Goku and Vegeta will have with Master Whis. This is sooo "Dragon Ball", I'm not surprise it comes from Toriyama! I wonder which level Vegeta will reach. Hope we will finally see him reaching SSJ3, even if it's just for a few second, training agaist Goku or his master. In any case, Vegeta should be a very tough student !!
I tried different colours for Vegeta SSJ God ... I wonder what will really happen:

Ahhh, THX.

That means Beerus will be woken ealier in this movie than expected. I think he will be angry a bit bacause of that.

We decided against posting it due to the confusion it might garner, because it seems to simply be saying that 2015 is two years after 2013 when
Battle of Gods came out... which is obvious (rather than being in-universe-y).

Ah. If it isn't in-universe, then it probably is best not to state the obvious only to potentially spark more confusion.

How about the scene where 4th form Freeza fighting Goku seemingly on par? His further evolution would put him way beyond a God? Or Goku would have been derived of his God powers?

When is the last episode of Kai scheduled?
Maybe just maybe when Kai ends we get a new series.
I have that feeling because there Is so much happening in this movie.

New series unlikely, but some new movies yes, or a 10-episode mini-series at max, but only if Toriyama will decide to uncover the other 11 universes.

In the manga, didn't Bulma say that even 5 years ago Goku didn't show up because he was training?

I know it's an unpopular theory but I'm kind of hoping each of the universes have a version of Goku and the gang in it. If for no other reason than I think it would be really cool to have a crossover between this new series of movies and GT at some point.

The exact quote is thus (she's reacting to Goku saying they just saw each other about five years ago, as though that were an acceptably short time for friends):
Bulma (in chapter 518) wrote:5年よ!! 5年 みんな集まる時だってあんただけ修業って来ないじゃない!!
"Five years!! Five. Years. And even when everyone gets together, you alone don't come because you're 'training'!!"
So it's not that he didn't show up at that time (though he wouldn't have if Beerus hadn't been there too...), but that he always uses "training" as an excuse not to see her when everyone else actually bothers to get together.
(I believe Herms may be partly responsible for this particular misconception.)

Nah, it was stated Goku would've used IT then stomped Freeza and Cold just like Trunks did.

Nice! Maybe his character designs for the movie will be showing up somewhere soon. =u= I really want to see those.
I think the ones he did for BOG appeared this time that year.
Yeah, or maybe we'll get another Toriyama-drawn poster for the movie!

In order to get more films, would RoF have to be successful just in Japan or worldwide? Both?

Mostly in Japan, but worldwide too. We know about BOG that in USA(maybe the greatest fandom's home outside Japan) it wasn't shown in cinemas when this movie was announced.

After Goku spared Freeza, he blasted him out of rage due to Freeza attacking him once more. I'd imagine that he meant that as a finishing blast, but Freeza was stupidly resilient, surviving the explosion with only half of a head and body.

DBZ_Lee wrote:I'm feeling somewhat conflicted about the potential of Vegeta playing the main role here. The thing is, he is one of my favorite characters, but I will always see him as the reluctant helper so to speak - which is what I like about him.
In Battle of Gods, his character received a lot of development/changes, and perhaps Toriyama did this on purpose, to prepare him for his ultimate redemption - Freezer. There would be nothing better than for him to finally defeat the tyrant who killed his father, and destroyed his home planet.
But, would I actually want this to happen?.
Vegeta's inability to defeat Freezer, was one of his best moments, and by the end of the manga, he acknowledges what was obvious anyway - that Goku was better than him.
So, I really find it difficult to believe that Vegeta will leap in to save the day after Goku is beaten unconscious by Freezer. Vegeta will of course fight Freezer, as I believe Beerus will too.
Goku's mercy he gave Freezer nearly got everyone on earth killed, and if it weren't for Trunks intervention, could have proven very costly a decision.
Could this be Toriyama's way of showing where pure evil is concerned, Goku will no longer show mercy? and this time - in front of an audience - mainly Beerus, who was shocked to discover Goku had been able to defeat Freezer, will now see it with his own two eyes?.
Not really. The real timeline and what we learn later is that Goku was ready to teleport in at a moment's notice and kill Freeza, but stopped when he felt Trunks arrive.
