The way Greg was talking on this week's OPP, I feel like they're going to announce a new One Piece movie at Jump Festa next Saturday. If my guess is correct, I hope it doesn't interfere with production on F.

Also, Jump Festa's only a week and a half away! O_O

Oh, it likely will. A new One Piece film would probably be allowed to use in-house animators longer than Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu no F. Every second up to the release date is important for this film's production. Kami to Kami was finished about three or four weeks before it officially hit theaters. Fukkatsu no F will probably be finished mid-March but if production on a new One Piece film is going to begin for a potential December release it would have to be soon, especially if it is going to match or top One Piece Film Z.

I do like OP, but nowhere near as much as I like DB. I can't help but feel sad and jealous when Toei plays favorites with their productions. (Everyone wants whichever are their favorites to get really good work put into them, right?) It isn't fair that OP gets all the good animators (well, them and Disc Wars). I understand why Toei does it, but I still don't like it. T_T

I'd almost rather a different animation studio have DB, just so it wouldn't have to play second-fiddle to OP.

So I just read the next Detective Conan movie will open the same day as RoF, that can't be good for RoF can it (I've heard Detective Conan is quite popular in Japan) and what other movies have you heard will be competing with it?

I hope this time around we'll get the movie a bit sooner. The wait is what really kills me, when other people get to enjoy the movie I want to see (they got a director's cut before we got a theatrical release).

I'm certainly excited to see what Toriyama's got for us in terms of our returning villain. I hope his return really serves to develop the characters (especially Vegeta).

Just noticed on GameFAQs that the old "Super Fan" of Freeza, FindKenshi (he used to run a Freeza shrine), just learned about the movie. Seems familiar faces are coming out of the woodwork to talk about the movie, lol.

I'd love it if we got it sooner, but to be perfectly honest, I can't see it happening.
It's pretty sad that in 2014 we can't get a simultaneous release.

With the way production was handled on Battle of Gods, where Nozawa "complained" about having to do voice work with unfinished animation, I can't see a simultaneous release as a possibility. I do feel it shouldn't have taken as long as it did to get here in the US though, as it was popping up in theaters elsewhere around the globe pretty quickly after the Japanese release.

That said, I can't really complain in the end though, because we ended up with the extended edition as well. That was a nice bonus and didn't require a long wait for a home video release or a second purchase down the line for said extended edition.

I didn't know they cut it so close. That's a good point.

I was very happy with how quickly it went from theaters to home media. I hope that's the case this time around, as well.
