I just realized that squiggle (likely drawn by Whis) looks like a very simplified doodle of his head and the ring-thing he wears around his neck. XD

Which I figure as "new screenshots featuring Freeza"? I'm not sure. Kanji is difficult for me at this point.

I would assume that "that character" is Freeza, but I kind of doubt they would reveal his "further evolution" this early into the promotional cycle. Perhaps there will be some sort of explanation as to why his first form appears in the trailer? Or maybe it's Goku or Vegeta...?

I think Whis is a perfect teacher. I would imagine he is kind and let pupils to unlock their potential themselves, only suggesting things sometimes.

I prefer to think that he looks like a kind and soft teacher, but then he makes his pupils go through Training from Hell.

You're right. Before I used to think it was an eeevil symbol that for some reason Goku weared.
But after I looked Vegeta having the same it was the best way to explain it since Goku and Vegeta are shown together with Whis in one shot of the trailer.

As for Beerus, I always thought Beerus and Whis symbol where those rhombus they wear in their sashs...

You're right... the fact that Beerus is the God of Destruction has nothing to do that he is still a student. There are many examples from the real-life history when a noble people are taught, even if the one who teaches htem are not noble at all, just like Whis is. I think the case that Whis stronger than Beerus, doesn't affect the rank.

I think we NEED to see Whis fight in this movie. As it stands he's the strongest character to ever live in DBZ and I need to know WHY!
