Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection 'F'"

Interesting things revealed at Jump Festa:

• Krillin is a police officer.
• Freeza trains for the first time in life.
• Goku doesn't become Super Saiyan throughout the movie.
• They haven't recorded the dialogue yet.

I'm not surprised about Goku, but Freeza not having done training in his whole life sounds weird... Whatever.

Should we wait for more, or that's all?

I realize we're already nearly half a day out from the panel, but could there be anything else that happened that just hasn't been posted yet? Or was the panel a "Mostly One Piece with some Dragon Ball at the end" and so the time wasn't there in the way we had it at Jump Festa 2013? I mean, I wasn't expecting the same amount of info this time because we were sharing the panel, but I was hoping there'd be more plot info than what's been revealed so far. ^^; Not that I'm not grateful for what we've learned; I am; no ssj Gokû at all is fascinating and the idea of "Freeza trains for the first time ever" could potentially have some comedy to it.

I'm so relieved we're moving away from Super Saiyan. I love the idea of Kuririn getting a normal job & Freeza training, but unfortunately, I expect lots of people to take the latter to mean he already trained in Hell.

This movie is going to be great.

It's so interesting that ssj's, at least for Gokû, "going away". I'm excited about this; it's so the complete opposite of everything they're doing in the Dragon Ball Heroes game where everyone gets to be ssj3 and Brolli gets hilarious lime green oozaru form. It's also even further from what the original BOG script wanted to do with ssjg (that blonde ssj3/4 with a cape version).

This is so surreal in a good way imo.

Nope, that was never said. Freeza always looked to me like he had done training in the past, as he is one of the most skillful fighters in the manga.

I agree 100%. I'm happy that Toriyama is doing his own thing rather than feeling pressured to make his world match what others have made it into.

Probably not. Goku essentially absorbed his God form. Vegeta will still be using Super Saiyan unless he's done the same off-screen.

I don't think Vegeta would choose to upgrade himself if there isn't any danger to justify it. I don't know how would I feel if Vegeta absorbed the SSJ-God power just like Goku did, but I think he would deserve a comparable power like of Goku's.

Nope, that was never said. Freeza always looked to me like he had done training in the past, as he is one of the most skillful fighters in the manga.

I always thought that Freeza was someone who always was born into all that he had. Like a rich kid who doesn't appreciate his money or how hard it would be to get to where he is at. He was born into his incredible strength and power. Any fighting skills he had were probably obtained merely from battles he had been in. Only a few had ever seen him in his final form and nobody had made him fight/work like Goku did. MOST of the time, he merely lifted a finger and everyone died. He must realize now that he HAS to train to be a match to Goku.

Also, everyone assumes that the wish was JUST made to bring back Freeza. Maybe that part of the story happened a few years back in secret and he has been far off on another planet training for years?

I don't know how I feel about SSJ going away completely. I guess it has served all it can by now. It's time for some new stuff to happen. I am betting Vegeta has learned SSJ God too off screen and is training with Goku to master the power and bring it out at will so they can fight super strong in base form.

I am suspicious that they will go a movie without Goku transforming (not going SS doesn't mean God form too right?), I know AT said he would ditch SS2 & 3 but SS1 too, more power to them if they stick with base Goku throughout. I do miss base Goku fights.

Hmm the fact Freeza is training makes me think that Freeza is revived before the main events of FnF take place, and Freeza is shown training in flash backs etc. Which makes sense 'cuz Freeza as he was/is can't do shit to Vegeta/Goku/Gohan. Maybe Beerus has a sister who as a mad crush of Freeza and decides to teach him her brother's ways?

We keep getting new info on the characters we know about, but still nothing on Goten, Trunks, etc. I think it's getting more and more likely that we will not see them in this film... I hope we at least get an excuse explanation for their absence.

Freeza: I guess this time you will distract me with your Super Saiyan God bullshit, Saiyan-monkey.
Goku: I already was a Super Saiyan God to fight Lord Beerus, but I've lost the form, but I still have its power!
Freeza: Too bad! I would have liked to see what kind of lame looking did you have...
Goku: ...
Vegeta: Do you want to see what does a real Super Saiyan God look like?
Freeza: I will not allow you to pull some shits once again, I've learned from the earlier case!
Goku: That's it Vegeta, you should become a God too, come grab my shoulder! *Performs instant transmission*
Freeza: Where the hell did they go?
*Performing the ritual*

Having the first piece of key art be ssj Gokû was an incredible tease now knowing he won't even be in the film.

It makes me wonder if that magenta lightning means ssjg or not. I want it to. So badly. And it is the poster proper, not just teaser art, but still I can't be certain. Does no ssj mean No ssjg or not. @_@

It would be strange if he went SSGod in the movie considering he absorbed the power, but it's not impossible I suppose, since he did it at the end of the last movie. If he's going to continue using SS1 as Toriyama claimed in his Saikyō Jump interview, wouldn't SS1 + God = a ridiculously stronger version of SSGod? Or will it do nothing at all like in BoG? If the latter, what's the point of continuing to use it at all?
