Thanks for the breakdown of the line, Nagger. I was thinking I remembered there being a line like that, but I couldn't remember for sure, and for all I knew it was dub only or something. Though it does seem like only Kai's dub flat out uses the word 'training'...hmm. I guess this could be a small inconsistency, or it could be something akin to what I was thinking before - Freeza did have to do some very basic training to learn to wield the power he already naturally had, but this could be the first time he's trained to actually make himself stronger than that.

親 doesn't have any fatherly/male connotations that I'm aware of, so I don't know where some of these are getting "Father" from. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

That part probably comes from retrospect: we know that Freeza had a father, King Cold, and it seems to be most people's assumption that the race is asexual and Freeza doesn't have a mother, so naturally the 'parent' would then refer to Cold. That's my best guess anyway.

SSJ is very iconic so i'm not so sure about it being removed. On the other hand, i like how Toriyama manages to surprise one more time... its a risky move. I don't know if the movie will be good or bad, but looks like it will be one of a kind.

I'm picturing Tagoma and Sorbet explaining to Freeza how much stronger Goku and Vegeta have become, and when Freeza asks how it's possible, they tell him it's because of training, and Freeza says something like "What is this training you speak of? Is it like the Dragon Balls? Find it, and bring it to me immediately!"

You know, I'm curious what kind of training Freeza does to catch up to them all so suddenly...unless he really was wished back years prior and nobody realized? Either way though, at least we do know he's going to have to at least halfway earn this drastic power-up and it's not just given to him for the hell of it.

There's pretty much no way this is the case when the tagline is "the worst wish in history" and the title is "Revival of F".

I dunno, both of those taglines could still apply even if he was wished back ages ago, as it would still be a terrible wish and would involve his 'revival'...but I admit my guess is probably a pretty long shot as it is.

Yeah. I don't think that is how it would play out, but I agree that the movie title and tagline can still apply if the film opens up with a flashback to the wish and then skips forward a couple years to the present.

It took over a year to get Battle of Gods. Does anyone think we'll get a release date closer to Japan's? What about a wider release than last time?

they still have the rights, I think. My question is that now that they know a limited theatrical release of DBZ can be successful, will they be more eager to get the movie across the ocean and into a few more theaters?

Nah because that same company distributed it in other countries, it most likely had to do with FUNimation dubbing it. But a year wasn't took long, just seemed like it took forever. But I think we will get an English dub sooner this time around, I bet they just weren't too sure if the movie would be a success over here after Evolution.

Goku never transforms into a Super Saiyan. From the trailers, it seems that he's fighting in his black-haired form.

Gohan is fighting as a Super Saiyan, with no signs of his Ultimate power-up.

Gohan obviously has no problems going Super Saiyan when he wants to, even though it won't benefit him. The Freeza soldiers are also never going to be a threat to him either, there's just a lot of them to fight through. Maybe he's using Super Saiyan as a scare tactic, since that's the thing that defeated their boss. =P

Remember when Rocky drank the raw eggs? Frieza's raw eggs will be baby Namekians.

Rocky climbing the steps? Frieza will be climbing a mountain of corpses.
