The 2v2 brawler that features an insane roster filled with Shonen Jump’s manga stars, J-Stars Victory VS+, is coming to the Americas and will be hitting PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, AND for the first time ever, PlayStation 4. I hope it doesn't end up as a download-only title for Vita though, since that's what I'll be getting it for.

I have one question though, how is this even possible?I thought there was some licensing obstacles to go through with the different companies that handle each series in the west. Whatever the case, I hope this get a physical release.

WOW.

I should really learn to never say never when it comes to the Shonen Jump brand. Even though I already imported this game months ago, I'm more than happy to pay again for a localized version. How much would you like to bet this will be "digital-only" like the Saint Seiya games?

As for how they worked out a license for an international release, my guess is Bamco just went directly to Shueisha and/or Viz. That said, an English dub for such a niche title is asking too much. Just be happy we're getting it.

I like that we're getting an "extra mode." Hopefully the online matchmaking for the English version will be pretty active. I'd love to go a few rounds with you guys and gals.

While I doubt it'll be relevant to this site, a journalist that was invited to play the game was told that the western release won't include every character Japan received.
