I'm actually glad for the delay - as having pre-ordered the game, I was worried I wouldn't have the time to play it when it arrived due the impending wall of paperwork that is surrounding me at the moment. Hopefully the extra few days will give me more time to clear a path through the work so I can actually play the thing! The thought of everyone else diving into Xenoverse and me having a copy I couldn't play almost brings tears to my eyes

Part of me is quite relieved too. I'll still have time to pre-order it and be sure to have the money for it.

Wow, it's great to see fans so hyped to get XV on their hands because I don't recall the last time this has happened as the previous games were all 'meh'.

I'll probably end up buying a redesigned PS4 Slim (or Xbox One Slim) if it's released by 2016/2017 to play XV.

For the record are you planning on buying the game this year, or are you really willing to wait that long to play it?

As far as the delay of the game is concerned, if it means a more polished experience, more power to them. Most current gen games released at launch usually come with massive day one patches, so this delay is to iron out any issues and make sure a scenario like that doesn't happen, then do it DIMPS, no one will be mad at you for that. :)

Same reason why I love CDProjekt Red for delaying the release of the Witcher 3 in order to finish up the game, polish it and make it pretty and as bug-free as possible.

It's incredibly refreshing to see devs take the time to polish out bugs in some games. I can speak from first hand experience that they leave some nasty stuff found during testing in games these days. It also hurts the industry overall if there is just a slew of buggy releases and unfinished projects.
Going on hiatus. Too much stuff in RL to deal with for me to keep up with posts here for now. Was fun, hope you all have a nice day and future! Volt signing off.

Having trouble deciding if I should get this for PS4 or XBone. On XBone, my cousin and his friend are getting it and I can play with them and have fun, and also have a headset to chat with. On PS4, there might be a bigger community, although I have no headset, I might find more people to play with. Anyone have any suggestions?

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

So now it's saying Feb 27th for Steam as well... even though Steam itself still says the 17th. Just must not have been updated yet.

If this means actual improvements to the game, I'm all for it. Somehow, I don't think so, as it's only getting delayed in certain regions and the improvements would be something they could patch in anyway. It could possibly be an issue with rights that's slowing it down.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

For a publisher to postpone a release there has to be either a logistic or financial issue at play. There is no nobility in this industry. 'Done' is 'done', 'polished' is a luxury as rarely afforded as 'time' and 'resources', both financial and human.

Meh, it's only a week.

On a positive not, I just got my XBone today (Along with a copy of GTA5) and paid off my Pre-Order of Xenoverse for it, so I'll be ready! 8)

Oh well, at least it will give them more time to get things straight. This is one of the few games I'll get for this year, the other two being the DmC Definitive Edition(Yeah, DON'T JUDGE ME!) and Batman Arkham Knight.

BTW, I think the reason behind the pushed release dates is more on the localization side, since the Japan date remains unchanged.

It has nothing to do with the delay of XV, it's just that I'm more of a Nintendo gamer and so getting PS4/XO later with XO is a possibility as I'd prefer to play Xenoblade Chronicles X, Zelda, Splatoon and others before XV. I sure am a Dragon Ball fan but when it comes to Nintendo they get priority over it.

Why do you think games like The Division, Batman Arkham Knight and The Witcher 3 have been delayed? Because first impressions on the next generation of consoles can make or break you. Why do you think games like Drive Club, Master Cheif Collection and Assassins Creed Unity suffered in sales in the end? Because they had horrible launches that plagued the game and left the gamers who purchased it on the first day, or worst pre ordered it, with a bad taste in their most. The Dragon Ball franchise is already walking a very tight rope here. One more disappointing Dragon Ball game at launch, and the reputation of the Dragon Ball video game franchise will be damn near unfixable.

I saw someone say Japans date got pushed back as well to the 17th. Anyone seen any confirmation on that. I'd feel a little better if it was delayed for everyone because I'm a bit of a dick like that lol

I've seen some nasty bugs left in games. I used to be a contract tester at Nintendo of America. Only a couple years but the first thing I worked on was Metroid Other M. Goodness the stories... x.x BUT! Reason I bring this up. There is actually to my knowledge, still to this day a nasty, horrible hardlock still in the game. They leave some dumb stuff in these either due to time constraints or I quoute 'The consume chances of reproducing this bug is so low, we have marked it as a no bug.' It's really...lazy. In my opinion.

Look at the last page.

Well I don't know how much a week helps their "development", I thought they were past this phase already. (I have no idea how this works btw). Either way, that means I'm getting my copy about 5 days after with that standard shipping.
