While on Twitter today I came across a Tweet from NJ that led to this link: http://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.php?p ... count=3175

If you go there, there's reference to a rumor that the DBZ movie BDs will be rereleased with a new restoration in 2015 now that the series is done. That doesn't sound unreasonable to me at all. The only thing I can't remember is if the movies were released alongside the Orange Bricks or after the Orange Bricks the first time. Also, I have to wonder how they'll be packaged this time: Individually, as Double Features, as a few Boxsets, or as one Boxset?

What do you guys think?

Oh dear Dende, please make sure FUNimation doesn't fuck up the Japanese audio again like they did previously for M#13 (it instantly put me off from watching the DF version) and also that the picture quality (avoid crushing the blacks if possible, no oversaturated colours or exaggerated brightness) is an improvement over the DFs.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:
- Kai 2.0 on Blu-ray

Given that the episode breakdowns for the BD Season Sets were identical to the Orange Bricks, I would guess this hypothetical BD movie release would be based on these:
http://www.amazon.com/Dragon-Ball-Movie ... B005HVWW3K (1-5)
http://www.amazon.com/Dragon-Ball-Movie ... 005NQ5LOQ/ (6-9)
http://www.amazon.com/Dragon-Ball-Movie ... 005W2BVMM/ (10-13)

If they re-release them, I would love a box set with them all. A Collectors Edition would be great.. original art, reversible sleeves, a nice slipbox etc etc

If we found out who Clarine is, I'm sure the information would make a lot more sense.

Ignoring that a nice re-release of the movies at this point wouldn't be surprising.

I assume the person means Clarine Harp who is director of DVD, Bluray and video production at Funimation.

That is cool but I don't see much point to buy the movies on Blu Ray if it we are not using the Dragon Box. We already have Blu Ray versions on the Double Features so it wouldn't look too different. The only thing I will be on the watch out for is Movie 13 because of Stereo Audio.

If they do re-release the movies, lets hope they fix the audio errors the US track for Cooler's Revenge has.

If anything, they will ditch the US tracks in the next release.

Since their on-hand film masters tended to be in better shape than what they had for the TV series, I'm relatively positive that if we see another Blu-Ray release (of the movies), they'll at least look less smudgy than what they did to Z.

Personally, I'm hoping for at least somewhat better quality audio for the Japanese track. The Double Features range from listenable to extremely muffled.
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

God yes! They absolutely ruined my viewing experience of that movie! I hope they fix that. if they don't....well...I own the original bilingual release and a friend took the audio from it and added it to the remastered footage but I'd still rather have a fixed version of it. I don't like watching stuff like that on my PC compared to my TV.
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

I know a lot of people hate the US music, but since I saw it as a kid it's just stuck with me and I was reaally annoyed that that was butchered when I bought it the other day. I bought all the remastered DVDs this week because of that now I see they may be re-doing the Blu-Ray's. Sigh, that's how it goes I assume. Really wouldn't mind a DragonBox: The Movies US release. That I would buy immediately.

Since FUNi has just streamed the db movies in HD, this does sound likely.

^ And that FUNimation keeps on releasing something related to DB every year.

DB a pack featuring all movies 1-4 and DBZ primarily throughout singles and then in a collection (DBZ's FUNimation cash-cow and makes sense they'd do singles first to keep the fans wanting for more).

Well, if this is actually happening then I think it's best that I stop my current DBZ movie collection because I only have Fusion Reborn, Wrath of the Dragon and the Broly Trilogy. Hopefully this is a box set, I'm sick of buying this stuff individually.

Canada had a really cool looking Collector's Edition boxset for the Double Features.

So there's a chance of them getting the original series on Blu-ray with all proper endings?
