Again, nope. You buy a PS3, you play against people with a PS3. Same for all consoles.

Weird. It just seems like with all the other stuff that can be done nowadays, that some sort of crossplay would be possible - at the very least, between the PS3/PS4 copies with each other, and the 360/One copies with each other.

Ah well, there does seem to be more PS3 votes listed than I thought (I just scanned the thread before and it seemed to be mainly PS4 responses), and it's not like we're going to be the entirety of the playbase for the game...so I'm sure there'll be plenty of people for me to face off with.

The servers used for each system are completely separate. MS has its own, and Sony has theirs, and those are separated between the elder and younger consoles. Neither Sony nor NS can shut down the older servers because there are too many people connected to them, and they don't want to lose their customer base. They can merge servers as their population decreases with more people upgraded to the newer consoles and networks, however the servers used for the PS3 and PS4 are separate, so there will be no cross-over between the different adaptations of the game.

Getting them all to work together would require Sony and MS to share space, and I don't see a company merger happening...ever.

I'll be getting Xenoverse for the PS4.

Gives me another reason to pick one up besides Mortal Kombat X, Guilty Gear Xrd, J-Stars Victory+, and Batman: Arkham Knights.

PS3 and Steam. I'll get the PS3 version when the game comes out since my PC is trash, but once I build a good tower I'll get it on Steam and enjoy the glorious mods.

Not going to get the 360 version, as I'd prefer to avoid feeding the online subscription paywall for online multiplayer. I don't have a PS4 or Xbone, but even if I did, the same would apply to them.

My initial preorder was for the PS3... but my parents surprised me with a combo birthday (jan 11th) and christmas present of the Xbox 360 version, so I guess both of those even though I might not even touch the 360 version aside from playing with the ONE friend I have who doesn't have another console

I have both the PS3 and the PS4 but I'm not sure which console I should get the game for yet. Has anybody seen the gameplay for the PS3 version.

Most of the games that have versions for both last and new gen are virtually the same, and that's even more the case on cartoon and anime-based games. The only differences are probably gonna be the resolution and little more. So I guess it depends on how big your screen is, how much you're willing to fork over, whether you want to pay for PS+ to play online and which of the two controllers you prefer.

Playstation 4 for me! It is always exciting to get a new Dragon Ball Z Game on the new generation of consoles. I know it won't be too different from the PS3 version, but it will still look better. I might also buy it on Steam for mods.
(I am suprised no one is buying it for Xbox 360. I always thought that would be the most popular
