1. Rock the Dragon (Great hard rock/metal song that get's you pumped up for some action. Also it's as American as apple pie

2. Head cha-la
3. FUNI season 4-? opening (The instrumental Faulconer one)
4. GT American Theme (Decent music but god that singing makes me cringe)
5. GT Japanese theme

Don't really care/know about the rest.

It would probably go...
1. Dan Dan (JPN): Aside from it not really making any connection to the series. It is a really good song and I love the ZARD version especially. I love the romantic lyrics Goku <3 Chi Chi

2. Dragon Soul (US Vic Mignogna Version): Vic is a good singer for a VA and also it has a good translation. Compared to other versions of English Dragon Soul, it would make this one seem like God!
3. Mystical Adventure (JPN): Reminds me of the good ol 80's Shonen days and this song is really catchy.
4. We Gotta Power (JPN): This song beats Cha La Head Cha La probably because I heard it way too many times so I was relieved when I started watching the Buu Saga The song is fast paced and the energy is amazing. No Ten P Kan! I might be pronouncing it wrong xD.
5. Kun Kun Zetsu Go (JPN): Kind of the same reason as We Gotta Power minus the Cha La Head Cha La Part. I really like the instrumental part on the full version.

Honorable Mention: Welcome To The Grand Tour (US): This song is so funny and cheesy that its good. Lmao

That would be the Bruce Faulconer theme, simply titled Dragon Ball Z.

Never cared for that opening. Kinda used to wish they had done a newer version of "Rock the Dragon" with new scenes a la the Sailor Moon S intro.

I liked the opening they did during the all of the movies. The "Dragon Ball Z" opening was good but I wish they swapped songs with the movies in the anime.

For me it's a tossup between Rock the Dragon and Faulconer's intros. I do like the Japanese intros too though, particularly We Gotta Power which wasn't as overused as Head Cha La. And I do love me some Makafushigi Adventure.

I might as well throw in my opinion.

Do we only have those to choose from? If not, I'd go with Vic Mignogna's version of the GT opening. If we're going by Japanese songs only, then it's We Gotta Power.

Given that Hironobu Kageyama is my favorite Japanese singer of all time (DBZ, Saint Seiya, Super Sentai, Garo *where he also voice acts for a magic talking ring*, Getter Robo, the video games, and even that catchy TMNT OVA opening), it's not hard to pick Cha-La Head-Cha-La as my favorite.

I really wish Toei would use Kageyama again, because they really haven't in years. He still does every Garo OP, some Getter Robo OPs, and some other stuff...but Toei's not brought him back since...jeez, was it the Boukenger vs Super Sentai movie where he did that one insert song? That was nearly 10 years ago though...

This, pretty much. It's pretty much the first song that pops up in my head when it comes to Dragon Ball. It's just so memorable and catchy. I glad they got Takahashi for at least one video game, and that was just fantastic as well.

I gotta go with Mystical Adventure.
CHA LA, We Gotta Power, and Dan Dan are a close second though.

In terms of English openings, my favorites are the Funimation openings post Rock The Dragon (Cell and Buu Sagas) as well as the Season Set opening that also played on the first 13 movies.

I HATE the GT rap. It's just so awful. The entire English score of GT is just bad, unlike the awesome Team Faulconer score for Z. Why didn't FUNi use him for GT...or even the redub of ep. 1-67 for that matter?
