Discussion regarding the entirety of the franchise in a general (meta) sense, including such aspects as: production, trends, merchandise, fan culture, and more.

We're hoping that the preview will tease specifics.
Ah, OK.
It's only four days until the magazine comes out, so I don't think I mind simply waiting for this one.
Momoiro Clover Z grew really big, first Sailor Moon, now Dragon Ball, looking forward to hear they song, it might be little weird to hear such two completely different types of music in one movie, but I'm positive

I will say this, if Momoiro Clover Z end up producing a really catchy Dragon Ball-esque theme for the movie that in turn becomes a hit, I could see them doing more music for the Dragon Ball franchise in the future. i.e. Video games, Dragon Ball movies, Dragon Ball reboot... (I can dream dammit )

Akira Toriyama wrote:My policy is to try and forget things once they’re over. Since if I don’t discard the old and focus on what’s new, I’ll overload my brain capacity. I still haven’t lived down going, “Who the heck is Tao Pai-pai?” that one time I was talking with Ei’ichiro Oda-kun. But the fact that there are still people reading the series after all this time… All I can say is; “thank you.” Really, that’s all.

And that you also have IMMENSELY skewed and comically backwards priorities in what you think is most important and needed to make a good Dragon Ball story.

I guess this explains why Victory Mission is on break. It is cool and all (I was kinda disappointed Battle of Gods didn't get a full adaptation like the Jump Special did). Though not really the kind of information I was wanting about Revival of「F」from this issue of V-Jump. Hopefully there is more...

I was going to disagree with you, but then I remembered Minus.
It's probably for the best that he isn't behind this.
Still, since Revival of "F" is being billed as an official continuation of the manga,
it would have been interesting to see Toriyama himself draw three new chapters.
DB- is what it is. It was a short cash in. Three chapters though, while not amazingly long, is still kind of a decent amount of pages (and may not cover the full film to begin with). Toriyama proved he's still got it with Jaco as a whole, so I would much prefer if he were the one drawing the adaptation. That's never going to happen though, so Toyble is a better pick than Ooishi.

While I agree with you, it's not just the story; his artwork was kinda all over the place.
Some examples being stoned Freeza, Gine's play-doh arms and young Goku being four feet tall.
I would have enjoyed seeing Toriyama's work again, but if I'm being completely honest,
I feel that Toyatarō is going to give us a better-looking product in the end.

Though he did Jaco, Toriyama pretty much admitted doing it wrecked him. Three chapters would certainly be more feasible, but he'd probably need longer than they want to do that much work.
Toriyama still has the skills for the plot but completely lost his touch when it comes to the art.
Simple and Anorectic is what describes his style now, basically.
A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.
