He technically never did. He just arrived on Earth stating his intention to himself and his soldiers and the seconds later Future Trunks arrived and slaughtered Freeza, King Cold and all of his Freeza's soldiers.

Goku killed Freeza in the future. So, he never failed. Trunks just changed that, needlessly.

I thought myself that Vegeta would be the one to defeat Freeza but now that I think about it it'd mean that Goku would have to lose against Freeza even though he already lost to the villain in the last movie, twice.

Then going back from that Buu's defeat was a shared victory, Goku fought against Vegeta and it ended in a draw, he fought against Cell and gave up, he fought against Android #19 and technically lost.

Ever since Freeza he hasnt really beaten anyone except that scrub Yakon. At this point he could really do with having a significant win.

That's why we have GT and Toei movies to compensate!

No one knew that Freeza came to Earth expect for the Z fighters. Freeza was gone quick before he can do anything. It seems like the Earth knows who he is now since we have a scene in the trailer of his ship going over the city. Piccolo Daimao, Cell and Buu (Going by the 2008 Jump Special) are the only villains that the Earth knew about. If you want to go by the anime then the Earth knew about Nappa and Vegeta, but that was later ignore in the show since no one recognizes Vegeta many years later as the evil alien invader.

I don't know if this has been brought up but the sky in both pics is the same which means that the guy in the blue aura attacking Frieza is indeed Vegeta and not Goku like what many believe and what the trailer implies.

The question is : What is Vegeta surprised about ? Or scared of ?

Is there some big revelation that Frieza tells him ? Personally I think there's something big going on behind the scenes.

It's tiny, but there's no orange in that speck that I can see. It could be Vegeta.
Doesn't Vegeta normally have a blue aura anyway where the rest have white? I could be wrong.

I know he does but I'm not sure about the rest.

Do you think the new trailer will tell us more about the story or be limited like the first one ?

Well, both Goku and Vegeta could be at that location so it's all speculation at this point weather it was Goku or Vegeta fighting Freeza in that shot. But it doesn't really matter because it's been confirmed that both of them are gonna fight Freeza, if I recall correctly.

I kind of really do want to see this out of curiosity. See if he gets that blue hair, if that is why he isn't wearing blue in battle for the first time in forever. (Aesthetics).
But I also want to see ssjg Gokû too.

The video came out later for BOG than my guess for F's next one, so might revise that to the end of next month, but still not sure. The drought of news makes me think they'll be pressed to produce something sooner than later.

Do you think they went to another planet for their battle ? cause the area doesn't look like it's on earth.

I'm just saying that there is no way you can be 100% sure of that. I mean, we just see Goku beat up but very much conscious so you can't just say that it proves that he lost the battle so the final battle will be between Vegeta and Freeza. And the ground where Goku was beat up was just a place without grass which can be pretty much anywhere.

You could be right, but I'm just saying you can't be certain of almost anything plot related based on a trailer and some stills.

If we go by the poster then I think his hair will be blue but why ? It looks bad ass on him but I wonder if there will be a reason to why the hair isn't one color for everyone like the normal Ssj forms.

In terms of seeing it in the trailer I doubt we will cause with BOG I remember they kept Goku's look a secret until a week or less before the movie opened but I hope they don't this time.

We just see Goku beat up but very much conscious so you can't just say that it proves that he lost the battle so the final battle will be between Vegeta and Freeza.

I would agree if he was still standing but with him on the ground it looks like he's finished.
