When everything is doomed, Pilaf accidentally defeats Freeza by asking Shenron to be stronger than Goku, since Pilaf is weaker than Dende, the wish actually works and he pummels Freeza to oblivion.

They were a guilty pleasure for me last movie. They should not have been as entertaining to me as they were. I was torn over how much time they sucked up, but enjoyed every minute they were there.

At least, when the screenshot is fixed, and if Mai is there, it could give a clue to how old Trunks and Goten look.

Maybe all Freeza army in the trailer is flying to Bulma house for some party?!

In all seriousness, I don't see any point (because they are just for the gag) of the pilaf gang returning.
They had more than enough screentime in BOG. This wasn't the news I was expecting.

A regular episode typically only takes four hours to record, so I don't see why a movie the length of four or five episodes wouldn't already be finished at this point.

Hopefully it's a quick cameo at the beginning of the film and nothing more.
Maybe they and Trunks and Goten are having their own adventure somewhere and completely miss the rest of the movie due to that.
Or they are Freeza's first victims..

I adore that Eiko Yamada keeps returning to voice acting to reprise Mai. Has she done anything since "Battle Of Gods?"

I'm happy about this. I'm sure they'll be used tastefully. If they're really a part of the gang now, they'll probably just appear in a group scene before history gets rewritten and everybody gets changed. Though I'm still not sure how I feel about the whole "Trunks X Mai" thing. But I love these characters so much that I welcome their return, however small that return may be.

Well, at least this movie already won the award for most "shocking" news. There's no competition.

- Pilaf gang is back

I think I've got a pretty standard opinion on this. I don't really want then to rob Freeza of his own movie, but after the bit of character development they received last film, I'm actually glad that we'll see what Pilaf's gang is up to, if they are still kids and all that.

I'm not sure how to fell about Pilaf's gang return.... I really hope they won't play for too long in the movie.

It appears this film may be darker and more action packed. How the pilaf hang catches into all of this is uncertain but I would assume they have equal or less time not more.

I know that. But I don't think they would get involved in the action, and if they do, they will probably run away like with BoG when Beerus released his ki.
What I tried to say is that I wouldn't want them to be screened when something more interesting is happening that doesn't involve them.

I agree with this. I was really looking forward to Vegeta's act. And it does look like there was meant to be more of it by the Toei character art of happy!Vegeta that never made it into the film.

I'd have enjoyed seeing Toriyama's uncut script for BOG.

That said, I do like Pilaf and Shigeru Chiba's voice acting, so as long as they don't take up too much time it's fine.
