I don't have an issue with Pilaf and Co. returning but I hope they do get less screen time.

I like Pilaf and their antics. But news of them being in a Frieza movie is leaving me feeling pessimistic. DBZ's been on a downward slope in terms of tone since that 2008 special, and things don't seem like they'll be getting any bit more serious. The trailer made me optimistic, but this.... ehhhh.... I predict gags galore.

Like someone said earlier I really hope there here just for the opening or ending, and don't have there own entire segment. Distracting us from the main plot, and killing momentum would again be bad.

I wonder if Pilaf will be killed off or not? I think Tagoma and Sorbet will take the Dragon Ball radar from Pilaf and his gang then kill them while Pilaf is trying to find away to use the Dragon Balls to restore his age.

Pilaf is the one forced to explain to Tagoma and Sorbet how to find the Dragon Balls. xD

Pilaf gang will help again reviving the villain. They think they will get some reward for that and the end repeats for the third time.

At most, they may wish to get old at one point in the movie, leading to the dragon misunderstanding them and making them very old.

Thus... making GT a possibility, as well as fans irate in the process. <3

So true, people are going to be like oh geez I thought they said more action meaning less sillyness and so on and so forth. Remember world, this is an Akira Toriyama original piece, check back to original Dragon Ball for references this is all gold just soak it up lol.

I hope Pilaf gets killed off so that GT can be erase for good. Just have GT be a AU show now, problem solve. Not to mention Pilaf was consider to be one of the worst things in BOG. So seeing them die would be nice.

Woah haha that's intense I was thinking maybe they grow into anti heros and slowly charecter develop into just another vegeta, piccolo, majin buu friend but originally foe, heck even yamcha was the villain desert bandit and tien and chiaotzu were too. Besides if they grew into friends then that would also effectively cancel gt so it would solve your problem.

Let people get upset, I say. We don't even know how he's being featured in the movie yet. People just want to pick on the series for having the audacity to be funny. Dragon Ball does not have to be humorless to be serious. Aside from the Cell arc (which took itself far too seriously), Dragon Ball has always done comedy when appropriate. They've already promised the movie's tone will be more serious. I trust them to balance the comedy effectively.

I don't see Pilaf and company getting killed. They've sorta reached Mr. Satan's invincibility status as far as gag characters go, I would think.

Unless they were in space somewhere, I'm pretty sure they died in the Buu arc. Then again, they weren't even seen in the anime giving energy to the spirit bomb, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were... =P

I have no doubts they were killed when Buu destroyed the Earth, but they had been absent from the story since the Piccolo Daimao arc by then, so it's not like their deaths were given any sort of screentime. I'm just saying that the idea of the gag characters being killed onscreen is incredibly unlikely.

Toriyama could have Pilaf become friends with Goku and the others so he change his ways on being evil but I doubt it.
