The highest viewed Xenoverse video has 981k views and it didn't even reach a million yet so its popularity is still to reach as high as some people here would wish for it to go.

It might not have reached the heights "some people here" want it to reach, but it's still one of the highest viewed videos on namco bandai games American YouTube channel (it's even got more views than Tekken Tag 2, and from the other videos I've scanned through its the 2nd most viewed on that channel aswell).

"Friеza" and "Tîеn" are Funimation's spellings of the names, it makes sense that people use those. Pikelo is literally nothing.

EDIT: lolwut, why does this site auto correct those to to Freeza and Tenshinhan? That just makes conversations about names difficult...

They're dubnames of FUNimation not necessarily the official so that's why I compared it.

And that IGN video was seriously embarrassing. I could forgive not knowing some things about BoG, but they were getting basic facts on series itself wrong. But, eh well, what do you expect from a big company like that?

While the introduction of Gine was kind of nice, it changed the outlook people had of Bardock, because our ideas of him were rather tainted by the "Bardock: Father of Goku" film as a hardcore Saiyan who at first didn't seem to care at all about his family or much of anything besides kicking a$$ and chewing bubblegum. In Minus, he was depicted more as a concerned parent because of Gine's influence. Also people are confused about the events because in them Goku is raised and grown to 3yr old status before being blasted off to Earth, which doesn't fit with what fans knew either.

If we take Minus with everything else, it's horribly inconsistent and doesn't sink in with the rest of the series that we know. However, I'll take it under its own merits and just as something to enjoy by itself.

The original translation of the strategy guide for the game had a freakin typo.

I'm thankful for the work Shonengamez does with translating the full pages of V-Jump and all that, as sometimes there are little details that interest me that Kanzenshuu doesn't always cover in their summaries for the stories. But there are also times that the translation Shonengamez provides isn't entirely accurate as what Kanzenshuu posts later or is revealed on Facebook (like the material about the Xenoverse OVA specifically being for the start of the game for example). So I'd really like to believe it, but I think I'd like someone with a slightly higher track record to confirm for certain.

47 was always the base character count. The thing I like about this game is that they will all be different in some way, be it the way you change their moves or their preset combos and stats that change.

Vegeta's Final Shine is in the first DLC pack, huh? I feel like SS4 Vegeta should be stuffed into Pack 1 for those who don't preorder. Though I doubt it would really matter, but it just feels like that would save space for other stuff (depending on the actual contents of the other DLC packs).

Pretty much, yeah.

Time Patrol Quests will be your story missions, and the Parallel Quests (assuming that is what they are talking about) will be the fun, fully what-if sections of the game. They give you absurd scenarios like the "Ginyu Squad attacking Earth" as a result of history fragmenting as Towa and Mira screw it up and and your avatar and Trunks try to fix it.

The scan, at the time didn't mention if it was for the game's intro or if it was part of the story mode. That was revealed during Treevax's interview I believe. Initially the scan only teased it without any leads.

I'm guessing the 12 quests essentially branch off from the 4 Time Patrol Quests. Like for every Time Patrol quest completed there are 3 extra quests/missions you have do in accordance with fixing the Dragon Ball timeline to its appropriate setting.
