It seems hard to fathom, especially given that if it was coming so soon to the rest of the world, one would have expected a larger promotional build up by this point.

That said, I think what's unique about how Toei handles the Dragonball franchise is that they seem to openly recognise the worldwide appeal of the brand, and are very active at exploiting it in ways not really seen in other anime titles, or even entertainment properties, exported from Japan.

This doesn't make sense. There's absolutely no way anyone can get this movie before Japan does. Funimation hasn't made any announcement yet at all, and Toei has been keeping The Final Chapters behind the Japanese broadcast worldwide. If a recut of an existing series has to come out there first, there's no way they'd let a big movie slip into other countries first.

I've seen countries get USA produced movies before the USA, so it's not exactly unfathomable. Remember FOX is also involved here, not just TOEI, and they're international.

Exactly, here in UK we're getting Avengers 2 a week before US gets it.

Most likely it will be dubbed. Animated movies with subtitles are not profitable here

Abo and Kado were already at Freeza's 1st form power at least, so I wouldn't be surprised if these two were stronger than Ginyu members after all these years (not that I want them to be).
