No new news recently yet. But what I really worry about the most of J-Stars Victory VS+ is the split screen mode. It looks really bad. I'm just keeping fingers crossed that the characters I love don't get axed. I've also heard that the storymode ain't that great but who knows.

Story mode is beyond repetitive. The only thing I really like about the game is customizable tracks and the heavy fanservice the game includes. But the level of hype fades fast... at least it did for me.

That doesn't sound good. The story mode is the area which I actually find the most replay value in a game. Even a fighting game. I guess I have to put all my eggs in the Online and Arcade mode basket, because there is no way in hell I'm splashing the cash of a full price current gen game just for fanservice.

Yeah this game is pretty barebones in its modes, you have a mission mode with specific objectives (use X number of attacks in a single match; don't let your partner kill any enemy, etc.), but that's just a fun distraction imo. But if you enjoy the main gameplay, oh the Online will hold you for a long-long time, specially if you have someone you know to play with you, oh those Ranked matches get so much fun.

Honestly, all I want for this release is to not cut any characters and to be able to listen to my costum soundtrack online.

The story mode is a good addition to fighting games but its meat tends to always be the online mode because that's where all the fun is at.

Well some of us would like to understand the character interactions and things. It'd be a bummer if they just replaced it with a bland arcade mode.

I, myself, would never call online mode fun >_>

Repetitive as it may or may not be, I do hope the story mode is still there, since that would be even more character interactions and that's going to be one of the most fun things I look forward to seeing in this game. I'm also still kind of worried about what characters might be cut too...I guess if they cut some people that I really liked, then I could always still import the Japanese version of the game at a later point in time. Still definitely getting the US release though.

Count me in for wanting story mode. Even if it is repetitive, it undeniably has some value and I'd rather get the game as close to its original version as possible.

Same. Was kinda disappointed the story mode doesn't have any animated cutscenes (one of the reasons I love the 1st Budokai so much), but still, looking forward to it.

You'll probably take that back wishing it had all of the original characters. :P

Didn't think people really liked the story mode, maybe since I vaguely (or barely) knew what was happening. Either way, I'm gonna rock with the one I have. No need to go through that bullshit again lol.

The online community might be better this time around though, I barely played online when it first came out. No one wanted to play with me.... I'm an outcast. :?

I need this game.

I didn't see the villains though. Hopefully this guy just hadn't unlocked them yet?

I think this is a new video. Scrolls through the character roster. Do we see any new or missing characters?
