Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection 'F'"
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
Apologies if this was already pointed out, but the movie is apparently going to be Japan's first movie to be played in IMAX 3D.

Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
It's gonna be February a little over a day from now and there's so much plot stuff we still don't know.
This is so bizarre.
I just want at least a hint of why Torishima thinks this movie's story is so special. What's the hook? What makes this movie more than just a straightforward Cooler's Revenge only it's Freeza instead, plus some occasional Pilaf Gang?
I've been watching those translated interviews of Torishima and how he speaks of Toriyama it still points to 'something impressive in this script', but I can't figure it out with what little we know.

At this point I'm probably most interested in learning what the runtime will be. Will the film be eighty-five minutes again with an additional twenty for the Fuji TV Saturday Premium block airing?
Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Fukkatsu no F"
I hope not. Just make it a good lenght from the start rather than releasing an incomplete movie.

Shouldn't we want the Plot to be a surprised?
I mean BoG was pretty much spoiled bout time it was released. It got worse when Funimation had all the important clips on YouTube.

Agreed. I'll be vanishing from this thread and possibly the site as soon as major plot spoilers are out in the open.TheGmGoken wrote:Shouldn't we want the Plot to be a surprised?

I went into Battle of Gods blind and I intend to do the same for FnF.
The experience was far more enjoyable doing it this way.
It's not usually that long a wait for a Japanese home release anyway.

It makes me understand better why they mentioned in early F news that Torishima was impressed by the story for F.

-About 3D-
I don't care about 3D either. But its always good to know that this series keeps breaking some records, after all these years.

A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

Or alternatively, my cynical analysis would be: it's sad to see how after all these years, the franchise now relies upon gimmicks to push its theatrical features...FortuneSSJ wrote:-About 3D-

Don't see any problem. I get more sad when I see CGI being used these days.Blade wrote:Or alternatively, my cynical analysis would be: it's sad to see how after all these years, the franchise now relies upon gimmicks to push its theatrical features...FortuneSSJ wrote:-About 3D-

Being the first in something good is always cool. Rather Dragon Ball than One Piece or other series.

And at least we're not doing a three minute cgi song and dance like Toei's decided for Precure All Stars this year. For ED's that's fine with precure, but I'm skeptical about it as part of the plot.
(Though we never have heard adult Gokû sing...no, if we ever get a character song from him just make it on a CD.).

Welll...with Whis and Piccolo godlike singing abilities and Great Saiyaman/Vegeta as a ballet dancers, a Dragon Ball band may be created in the future.

I've recently saw ending of newest Precure All Stars Movie, and, if there will be any 3d drawn portion in FnF, i would love, if it was in similar quality to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4s0j_kvGIBA

Wow, that looks awful. I really hope they stay away from CG this time.

Precure cgi's been really good recently, imo. They've fine-tuned it over the past several years and whoever works on it really knows what they're doing. It's why I was so shocked at Crystal's and BOG's cgi.coola wrote:I've recently saw ending of newest Precure All Stars Movie, and, if there will be any 3d drawn portion in FnF, i would love, if it was in similar quality to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4s0j_kvGIBA
Makes me think Crystal's only looks as it does because of budget and BOG's looks that way because they didn't have time to animate something 2D in its place.
*Wonders if that one HeartCatch ED that impressed her held up. Goes to check.*
