That would be hilarious, although it would probably feel like a kick in the teeth to some!

I'm really impressed with a lot of aspects of the game. There was a TON of options when Shenron was summoned and I'm really hoping that one them was a stat reset. I'm slightly disappointed by the hair options of the Saiyans though. Didn''t look like a lot of decent options and it might be like that for a lot of the custom characters as well.

We have yet to see Great Saiyaman 1 & 2 being separate from Gohan and Videl. Until I am proven otherwise I will say they are alternate costumes.

I also think they'll be alternate costumes. My guesses for teen Gohan:

1. Purple gi
2. Orange gi
3. Saiyaman outfit without cape or headwear
4. Great Saiyaman with helmet
5. Great Saiyaman with shades and turban

Gt Saiyaman might be a separate character though.

I'm not ruling it out. The suggestion that Great Saiyaman 1 & 2 could potentially be costumes for Gohan and Videl is based solely on the fact that they weren't on the roster in the stream, but neither was Time Patrol Trunks even though he clearly had a different name on his health bar in the trailers: "Trunks" for the Time Patrol version and "Trunks (Future)" for the traditional version, yet they really wouldn't have any reason for him to be locked off the roster at this point.

Really, at this stage though, I couldn't really care about they are costumes or characters. All I really want to know about the game is if Towa, Mira and Demigra, as well as if the Fiend versions of characters like Freeza, Cell and Buu can be used in the versus modes. I'd really prefer if Dimps doesn't create new characters and not let us use them, but there has been practically nothing on the subject.

I think they are playable. I think that would be really dumb thing to do. There's a ton of evidence proofing they are. Sergio's video have some time related attacks and I think they are for Towa and Mira. I reckon if we can use their attacks they are playable too.

I hadn't considered that. However I think it'd be more likely that neither costume is used during story mode, so the intact outfit would still be my guess.

Eh. I agree it would be really dumb, hence my worry about it (because there are some other dumb decisions being made for the game). The attacks would still have to be programmed in for them to be used while fighting against them though. Given the lack of anything else on them right now, I'd be hard pressed to call any of that evidence for being playable. All it really proves is that they are included in the game as foes, which they are. :/

The jumpsuit's a good shout. If they go for that or an outfit without the helmet, glasses, bandana or cape, they might make that Saiyaman variant the only one with a Super Saiyan transformation, like in the Tenkaichi Budokai.

Have we actually seen any Kaioshin clothes at all, on custom characters or otherwise?

Count me in for wanting Gt. Saiyaman its own character again. I remember them good old Budokai days playing as him. I just hope his Ultimate involves him doing some damage!

I just love how some fans think character roster is the only important thing in a Dragon Ball game...

I'm sure most people complaining will be using their own created characters anyway. Dunno why people are complaining about the roster of the SAME characters we've played for a decade now. Heck, I even saw complaints about how the story is now and wanting the story to just be the same like the rest of the games.

So a small report from PC land here. It's not super amazing news but I think it's a good sign for this game. Last I check this page isn't affected by your browsing habits and more by the product's sales! So this must mean a ton of people are preordering Xenoverse on steam for it to be page one of the update news!

Small edit! After a little research, the update news page is affected by a mix of your purchase habits and product sales. So because I have one Bamco game on steam (one of the SUN games.) and Xenoverse seems to be selling well on steam. It got a update news page! Still seems like good news to me!

It's up there imo with the teleports-out-of-his-clothes-jumps-into-tub thing he did in that rare Cell arc recap in terms of silly clothing stunts. X3

In the end, that's what really matters for this fanbase. *sigh*

Local 1v1 is only on the world tournament stage. Massive botch by Dimps. No HUD vs CPU or in online vs, another massive botch. Dimps' focused so much on fluffy gimmicks like 2v2, 3v3 & CaC and messed up on the basics that make the game playable. Stupid, game went from a 9 to a 6 in my eyes because of these easily avoidable design flaws.

These were known months ago and you are disappointed now?

I wanted to wait to make sure they didn't change it or give other options before I let my hate explode. To me these are the game's biggest flaws because they directly affect the most important aspect which is the gameplay.
