You seem to understand me. Also mostly speaking to those few in between who know XENOVERSE is a good game but say they will wait for a sequel! Wake up people! If you like XENOVERSE then buy it or else there won't be a sequel and we will be stuck with ultimate tenkaichi!TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Kinda agreeing here. We saw a video on that stage with a lot of discussion on why there wasn't a health bar for the second character. I don't think we ever found out if that was a local or wi-fi match though. Not even sure how far along the game was at that point though. The tournament stage might not have even been finished? xDBig Momma wrote:As far as WT being the only local multiplayer stage, didn't we see a presentation back in the early promotional stages of a Standard Goku vs Vegeta local match, and it was in the Mountains arena?

This is my thinking too but I'd be surprised if these small issues were deal-breakers. Xenoverse gives a lot of what fans have been clamoring for since the early Tenkaichi days in a brand new story and a deep character creator, I personally think the game is worth it for these points alone. I mean, this is really the biggest Dragonball game we've seen since, well, it actually just is.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Kinda agreeing here. Plus there's not much else coming out this month, the only other game I will be purchasing is The Order.

Agreed, agreed. This game was practically a day one purchase for the the moment I saw Time Patrol Trunks and knew it wouldn't be a complete and utter rehash of the same things we've been getting. But I have seen plenty of people (elsewhere) saying they'll be skipping out on this game because of things that seem fairly insignificant when you look at everything Xenoverse is offering already. Which is why, even though I have problems with the game and continue to harp about them in this thread, I'm still picking it up along with the DLC.
Help support the game and earn it a sequel next year or the year after. They can expand the roster even further in it, hopefully expand the customization options for the avatars, allow customization of the original franchise characters in general, allow color editing of all costumes and revamp the transformation system. That's basically all my issues, and pretty easy fixes if they get a second chance at this game series.

Perhaps part of the issue is the years and years of Atari and then Namdai overemphasizing the importance of the roster because that was really all they had to offer and all we had to look forward to. Now we have a game made by one of the fan-favorite developers and what appears to be a great story with a great new feature but we've been trained to only get hyped about so and so being in it. Let's just hope the huge marketing push (compared to previous games) they're putting behind this by highlighting it and demoing it in stores actually works.TheDevilsCorpse wrote:Agreed, agreed. Right this game has a lot of what should be truly considered hype worthy and if we support this release then we can talk roster regarding the sequel later on.

Right on. The same people who moan about a RB3 not being made are probably the same people who skipped RB2.
We all know these games are recycled little by little to drain our wallets, folks. But if we want the games to make sequels ... we need to buy them.

I can't wait for sale numbers, if this flopped cause of its roster I will laugh so hard.

And if I don't want a sequel? I'd rather have another type of game that a sequel, honestly.Nickolaidas wrote:Right on. The same people who moan about a RB3 not being made are probably the same people who skipped RB2.

Namco was smart they would experiment with different ways of playing the db/z/gt universe by mixing it with different genres. RPG's, a RTS game with politics in the background: you would be playing one of Frieza's race trying to become the new emperor after the "main" family was killed, maybe a new dbz card game for US consoles only mtg style, and so on. That way when the consoles reach their middle or late years, you have a franchise with current and various games series.sangofe wrote:And if I don't want a sequel? I still find it hard to believe that people would rather play as the same characters and go though the same story they've played for a decade than making their own characters and having what-ifs. Tell me, whoever's like this, why?
"DRAGON BALL ZEE BUDOKAI TENKAICHEE 4! WITH OVER 400 CHARACTERS TO CHOOSE FROM ALONG WITH EVERYONE OF THEM HAVING the SAYME COMBOS,THIS'LL BE the BEST DBZ GAME IN HISTOREEE!"

I don't see anyone saying this. I haven't seen a single person say "take out the new story and character creation and give me Zarbon!" I've seen people saying they'd want those characters in, or the missing elements of story mode in, while still wanting the new stuff.EXBadguy wrote:I still find it hard to believe that people would rather play as the same characters and go though the same story they've played for a decade than making their own characters and having what-ifs. The more characters my created character can interact with, the better.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

Understandable, but the stupid roster complaints, though. Still in shock that people would rather play the same characters they have played for a decade. Me?
More characters, especially in a game like this, the better honestly. It would mean more characters for the avatars and new characters to interact with, as well as less restricted opportunities for the "new" story mode.
Plus extra enjoyment for personally created stories in versus mode

Just figured I'd share this with you guys. Don't know if anybody has seen it or not. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9lp_KUvtnk I had no idea that Freeza's soldier would be in this game? kinda...odd? but cool. haha
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

Hey guys. I debating with myself wether I should pre-order this or not. I want the Vegeta extra... Do you think I'd be able to get a second hand copy with the download code for SSJ4Vegeta?

Isn't this game doing extremely well as far as Pre-Orders go?

closer (IMO) to the show. Also, without the scouter you have to concentrate to sense the opponent's ki,life etc, you don't immediately know it all (HUD)EA575 wrote:The scouter DOES show your opponent's ki and Stamina values, but only numerically (100 = 1 bar)

Why is the digital version worth $85 on psn in South Africa?
