Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection 'F'"

So much agreement. Not telling us anything conversation-creating plot info really kills the hype.
BOG's lead up was way more fun because we'd get bits of info along the way.

Toei's mindset is probably that if they don't give away too many tidbits about the plot away, it will lead to more intrigue and more anxiety about the movie, which will then lead to more hype.

Should we be at all concerned that there isn't more news / articles / pictures / trailers / clips / general advertising for Fukkatsu no F at this stage, with the film just a couple of months away?

I can't remember if it was similar for BoG but I'm sure we had more frequent updates with it to keep us ticking over building up to the films release.

There needn't be any concern however obviously we want information, they are not giving it up and its resulting in unrest. The movie will be great and eventually before it comes out more information is likely to be released.

I suppose its just how they promote movies over there. The Last Naruto movie came out December 8th and it didn't get its first trailer until October 31st and then it was more heavily promoted throughout November.

They could probably do with releasing another trailer that explained the plot and some new images and stuff this month though.

I attribute my unrest to comparing the info dump amount from this movie to BOG's (I know I shouldn't, but the frame of reference isn't going to vanish), and the fact that I love spoilers.

I could deal with even a tiny bit of plot info on what's going on with Gokû and Vegeta. They're the ones I'm most interested in and I still know nothing outside of the outfits. T_T

This is only slightly better than poor Trunks and Goten, who aren't even on the poster.

I'd like to see a 2v1 fight in this movie, like Goku and Piccolo vs Raditz. The series didn't have enough of those but they have the perfect chance with this movie to have Goku and Vegeta fighting Frieza at the same time.

Am I the only one who doesn't understand why people WANT to get super completely spoiled like in BoG? I mean, for that movie, we pretty knew exactly what was going to happen before the movie was even out, which made watching it not much of a surprise at all. Most movies I follow don't reveal every single plot point before the release, and that's what makes it exciting. The only excitement in BoG was watching the climax battle scenes since those were the only ones not spoiled!

I don't want a lot of details. I'd be happy just getting hints of the three subjects:

--What's up with "new" Goku and Vegeta, are they being trained by Whis?
--Since we know Pilaf is in, what's he up to?
--Will we see characters that haven't been shown yet (Goten, Trunks, Yamcha, etc)?

All of those can be answered in a satisfactory manner with minimal spoilers, by giving you a nugget of information and a lot of the traditional "we're hyping you, but telling you nothing" Japanese text. But with V-Jump doing the three chapter Revival of F manga, we're bound to be getting a bit more than that...

I feel the need to edit this in to help curb the speculation. I highly doubt Vegetto will be in the film. It takes one quick look to see that he's in his original dogi, meaning they're just throwing him in from Heroes.

Edit: Theeen again... SSJ3 Vegetto is something they're using in DragonBall Heroes now, so... actually, nevermind. It's unlikely he's in the movie at all. Probably the same with Uub. They're probably just incidentally featured alongside the poster.

Exactly. Really doubt fusion will be a prominent thing for Goku or Vegeta at this point.
