I believe that Vegeta is Dragon Ball‘s unofficial star.

Based on how Z's story goes I can't say I disagree with him.

I have to say i agree and have enjoyed Vegeta's character grow into one of my favorites. He's a fun character as his pride and emotions have complicated his growth and overall character.

That's true. But except he's not the protagonist. Goku is. And the character that could be best-argued as the "secret" protagonist would easily be Gohan.

Caught up and....why is Freeza being imprisoned? Why isn't he being purified? Boo caused far more destruction, and yet got instantly purified and reincarnated. There needs to be a good reason for this. Not just some torture crap which is petty anyways when I'd think the ultimate punishment is being reincarnated into something far lesser than you once were. A matter of opinion I suppose. He also better be a soul, and not have a body. That would be even more ludicrous. I kinda fear for this movie now as it might borderline fan fiction just to get Freeza back.

I'd think he can be reincarnated overtime despite his extremely evil nature but i don't have much to base that off of, it's more for discussion sake regarding frieza and this film.

Nope. Gohan. I'll admit Vegeta's up there, but the central characters are always Goku and Gohan. In descending order due to presence in-story, Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Piccolo, Krillin, Future Trunks, Roshi, kid Trunks & Goten, Tien, yamcha, Yajirobi, Chiaotzu.

Good point. It will be interesting to see how Hell works in Dragon Ball in Toriyama's mind.

Actually, Vegeta contributed much more to the show than Gohan ever did, whether it was good or bad. He was the main villain of the Saiyan arc, went on a killing spree on Namek and has his back story explored, saved Goku's life in the Android saga, greatly contributed to Cell becoming perfect and aid Gohan in defeating Cell in the Cell arc and had the most character development in the Majin Boo arc and greatly contributed to endangering and later saving the universe. I'd say Goku and Vegeta are the central characters of the franchise. They're like ying and yang.

Nothing fills me with more joy than salty hardcore american DBZ fans. Now I kinda want that ending to really happen.
