But the problem is, it doesn't make any sense. Vegeta would have had to have grown AT LEAST 4 times stronger. Just for Bulma being slapped? That's a huuuge boost just for an emotional thing.

I love throwing this quote around every time this topic comes up. Take it away Vegeta.

You know, for the frequency that quote gets pasted around, it reeks of willful ignorance of easy common sense explanations, for something that is only seen by a portion of the fanbase as even somewhat of a problem, in an attempt to sound "clever". God forbid a Dragon Ball character develops the capability to do something he was once unable to do.

You do know that SSJ3 is 4 timed stronger than SSJ2, right? And it's debatable that Goku in base is stronger than Vegeta in base. So for Bulma getting hit, Vegeta would have literally had to have been able to break past the Super Saiyan 3 limit In Super Saiyan 2. That...literally makes no sense. And hell, look back at the Cell saga. He saw his own son, his own flesh and royal blood, die before his eyes. Vegeta got pissed off and got stronger than he'd ever been before, but it was a realistic power-boost, because Cell still wasn't phased by it. If we used the same logic from Battle Of Gods, Cell should have at least been hurt by Vegeta's attacks.

And it's debatable that Goku in base is stronger than Vegeta in base.

It's never said in the manga how strong it is and even if it is keep in mind Vegeta knows about it's drawbacks so it makes sense that he trained his Ssj2 form instead of trying to reach 3 so he could have already been close to 3's power then Bulma getting hit gave him the push he needed to surpass it.

It's a debate even though Goku himself said they were equal in power ?

Love Bulma's new outfit. Evocative of her Buu arc style but fit for an adventurous setting..... while still respecting the fact that she's in her 40s.

I'm pretty sure she won't be literally participating in the fight as much as I'd love her to pull a Lucy Steel, but seeing that she might be playing a bit more of an active role in some way really pleases me.

LOVE the Bulma pic, but I find she looks too young (meaning, younger than her previous appearance). Also, I find she looks like Tights at the reunion (at the start of DB), only with different clothes.

Also, I was devastated by that reprinting of NMZ3. I thought it was a new chapter in the NMZ saga for a second.

She does technically have all the resources to keep young looking but to be honest I see your point. Personally I like that their keeping her youthful looking even if the excuse that she is aging nicely must be made.

Id love to see Bulma actually fight. Shes made armor capable of withstanding blows from Cell. I see nothing impossible about her making some sort of gun or blaster capable of blowing away some Freeza soldiers.



Her first chronological appearance mind you. She could whip something up easy.

If they're trotting out relatively meaningless characters like freaking Bulma at this point then there's no Goten or Trunks in this movie at all. Calling it.

That would be a shame because I really would like to see Goten and trunks and honestly predict they will be involved with pilafs gang in this film, hopefully they have matured a bit though. I really want to see them get a little older.
