From watching the twitch streams the current level cap appears to be 80.

Th could always change in an updated patch.. But that's pretty damn good for now...GogesusSSG wrote:From watching the twitch streams the current level cap appears to be 80.

Call me unimaginative, but I'll create my version of Uub to beat the main story. I feel like he's a perfect fit in it. Either that, or a Frieza race character. Anyway, I'm pumped for this game.

Lol, love your username. Pretty sure Goku wanted to train Uub for that exact reason anyway.Rozay wrote:Call me unimaginative, but I'll create my version of Uub to beat the main story. I feel like he's a perfect fit in it. Either that, or a Freeza race character. Anyway, I'm pumped for this game.

Well yeah, he is the would-be new defender of Earth, tons of potential and room to grow, and human, so no need for transformations. Also, he got misused in GT, it'll be my chance to right that wrong I guess. It's even cooler that we can make the created character physically grow if we collect the Dragon Balls, so it seems like improvements are made. I'll be able to start with kid Uub then. Yeah, I have it all planned out. Guess that's too much time thinking about a game.

This is what i dislike. The game is OK but the story mode isn't great. It isn't bad, either. They didn't make true cutscenes which can be a cinematic(like Mortal Kombat,Assasin...).And i hope they will make true cutscene in Xenoverse 2 if it happens. And for the story mode,i prefer to play with original characters rather than with character creation. Our character even hasn't a line, insanely strong. With original character+a new story =>true story mode.MasterVampire wrote:Is it true that theres there's no planet destruction in this game because Dimps doesn't want cutscene attacks anymore in their fighters and that was one of the design decisions in this game where they basically said they didn't want cutscenes that paused the action for all players. .

It's the same they did for the NUNS series. The first game had really amazing and bombastic ultimate cutscenes and everything after it was shortened and made less impactful.
That's obviously a deliberate design choice and one that I'm personally not very fond of. The cinematic aspect in most of previous games was one of my favorite elements of them and now that it's gone I'll have to wait and see when and how they'll deal with this in the future.
B3's planet destruction is still, to this day, absolutely delicious.

Ah, the Alpha and the Omega. As all life was created from Chaos...so shall it be DESTROYED!!!

One way around it so the action doesn't stop, which I'm sure could work. Could be that, the attack does damage if it hits you, but if it doesn't it destroys the planet, you would have to dodge debris, block, use stamina to use ki blasts and try to deflect what you can, meanwhile, the attacker could not move all this time, but he could mash some buttons or do some commands in order to not lose his transformation or stamina after the attack. Problem solved, everyone does something strategical while the destroying animation is happening, then everyone can just jump right in when the scenario has been destroyed. if you are attack, and you dodge but the world gets destroyed, you could either use your ki to put up a shield, no damage but you end up with no stamina, or go physical, use what you can to dodge and destroy debris and keep some stamina for the battle. (if the opponent is far away, a shield could work!, but if he's a short distance you can either stay close to try and attack, or go back and play it safe)
It could be tweaked, but IT CAN WORK. Next gen, it CAN work.

Cant say I dig that idea. The problem with the cutscene ultimates is that its very divided. Some hate the interruption in gameplay, some don't mind it. I prefer the cinematic ultimates of B3 to the ones we have now but am glad they added dynamic camera angles and what to give it that cinematic flair. Burst Limits ultimates were very boring for the most part.
I want to see planet destruction make a return. I would love it if one time you destroyed the planet it went to that grey wasteland type stage. The next time you did it you were fighting in space. Dont care if both players are waiting. Maybe turn it off online or have an option toggle for it.
On a side note, dissapointed to see no Pikkon parts in the CaC selection

I'm starting to think I wouldn't mind if they did away with Ultimates all together and just made huge attacks like the Genki Dama have significant enough drawbacks to balance them.
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

I forgot that Gohan's supreme kai outfit was there. Damn you DIMPS, why only for CaC?!! ^^DarkPrince_92 wrote:Because you asked. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIMhzY-0E6QPsycho50501 wrote:Has there been a video yet of all the unlocked costumes for CAC?
Haven't watched myself. Holding back from spoilers is pure frustration.
EDIT: At least I can re-create some characters

Well, there is a secret ending.Shinnin wrote:We may just have to look for them. Like, how does the changing events work in this game?
That isn't the case, nor was it ever.

With a horrible opening,i thought they would make cutscenes carefully but not. And many complain about the roster but not story mode.
Character creation in story mode is bad for me.

A finisher is supposed to look and feel like a finisher. That 15 seconds of unique animation and planet explosion should be well worth "interrupting the pace" of the battle thus making it rewarding every to you hit it.
DBZ games in general aren't really technical to the point where having fancy Ultimates would hinder the game play in any way. I mean you guys who are "anti-flashy" can't really sit there and tell me whenever an ultimate was hit in any game from Budokai 1 to Raging Blast 2 you thought "'boy... I'd sure rather not be looking at this right now".

It gets old after like 3 times bro. It is literally the exact same scene happening the exact same way every time. There's no variation, there's no interaction, you sit and watch. I like the real time spirit bomb because it can be fired at different angles and my opponent can deal with it in different ways. As opposed to some movie me and my opponent have to sit down and watch where the game takes over. Not 2 weeks into Budokai 3 9 years ago and no one out of 30 players I played regularly wanted anything to do with hyper mode. It was actually seen as a troll to land an ultimate since people were beyond bored of the generic, knock up, knock down, prep sequence nearly every ultimate had.goku the krump dancer wrote:A finisher is supposed to look and feel like a finisher. I should stop watching these videos, seeing Tenshinhan's Cell-Arc outfit there but knowing Tenshinhan himself can't use it is making me sad. Same for plenty other outfits.DarkPrince_92 wrote:Because you asked. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIMhzY-0E6QPsycho50501 wrote:Has there been a video yet of all the unlocked costumes for CAC?
