VegettoEX wrote:Here are my thoughts on re-watching DBGT...

When I first tried watching the series, I was probably at the height of my fandom. Hell, one of my first tapes EVER was the very end of DBGT raw (and I loved it... well, the last two episodes).

If there was ever a time when I was going to watch DBGT and enjoy it to the fullest extent that I could, it was when I tried to. I loved the show, I was younger, and everything was still "magical".

I'm not the same person, these days. I've seen too much. While I still love DragonBall and can pick out its magical charms pretty often, it's not the same experience as it was back when I was in high school and would get a new batch of fansubs... it was like Christmas every time.

One of my biggest problems is that I think some of the *ideas* in DBGT are *great*; I love the idea of bringing back the Tsufuru... I think the idea of having repercussions from using the DBs so much is genius beyond belief...

But it's so. fucking. boring.

Anyway...

Cool to hear that we're getting some new listeners, still. I mean, I *know* we are getting more all the time, but it's cool to hear from them. Also, I know that not everyone likes the video game talk (you're the very small minority, though :P), so we really try to have other enjoyable things so everyone can have something to relate to.

Regarding Sparking! NEO, though, what kinds of things do you all want to hear about next episode?
Ummm.... things they got right?

Man I hate it that Bardock fights on Namek.... yes I can fanboy whine too. I also hate Ginyu's ultimate this time around. It was perfect the way it was...bad for the opponent but perfect. The Bardock Special taking place on Namek!? WTF!? If they where lazy couldn't Spike have just used the desert or New Vegeta stage instead? Those two at least resemble Planet Vegeta... That is just bad..... Other than those things Sparking! NEO is looks great and I'm still looking forward to getting it.

Anyway on topic... I enjoyed this podcast immensely! I would like to hear all your thoughts on the changes to the techniques, costumes and transformations, any hopes for the next game and thoughts on the maps. I'm sorry I can't think of much more.... maybe more nerdy whining on what is missing. I know I am... for some reason I can't stand that not all the costumes are in (i.e Eighteens "Raid the closet" outfit from the Cell saga). Yes I am a geek.... but so is Mike and that brings me comfort.

I love these podcasts. Awesome stuff! 8)

P.S. I heard about the question concerning Cell's regenerative powers. There is a fanmade essay written by "Darkprince410" on the MFG forums about this. It is a good idea that explains the question in this podcast. Sadly the pictures that where once there are not there anymore. You don't need them to understand it. Here is the URL: http://mfgforums.com/forums/1/13388/ShowThread.aspx

Oh and Mike..... you still scare me! :x

Yeah with Cell, I think it was similar to Elder Toguro and could move his nucleus. And great way to stick it to the thieves.

UGH! If it wasen't for Bardock's story taking place on Namek, not all costumes included and Ginyu's body change technique being altered I would be tempted to say Sparking! NEO ( Budokai Tenkaichi 2 :x ) is the best DBZ game to date!!!!

Oh and the fact we in North America don't get the Japanese music.... though oddly enough I'm not as disappointed about that. I would have liked to have it and I do believe it is superior to the American dub soundtrack but the other things I mentioned above seem to disappoint me more. I'm not a true fan I geuss!

NIIICE Podcast, you guys!

The gay sex line was kinda of.... *gag*.... but funny anyway.

The Sparking! NEO review was done well, and I can't wait to hear your final thoughts on the game next week.

Maybe next week, we won't have any more VAs die on us...

Er, yeah. Keep up the good work! :D
Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

I'm not sure who he is. All I know is that he never went and introduced himself.

C'mon, Batman! Tori-Bot and I wanna make corny Adam West jokes!

Hey, I've got one! "C'mon, Batman! Do the Batusi!"

Or how about: "Holy introductions, Kaboom! It's The Batman!" :P

BTW, if you're gonna use those, remember and give me full credit.

Right on! Sean Schemmel's diarrhea grunt has nothing against Masako Nozawa's battle cry! :)

And the gay sex part is just... Disgustingly funny!

How is the character A.I in this game? It's important it needs to be competitive especialy when there is now a tag team option.

I hate how they are always grouped in video games now. If I recall , Tenshinhan was less then kind to Yamcha in the World Tournament... The man broke his leg..! I hope this doesn't lead to the whole "...well Tenshihan isn't the strongest human, Krillin is" nonsense.

You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.
I missed out on all of the DB Movie fun, huh?
Point blank: it's gonna suck if you want it to. Personally, I'm seeing it as a comedy.

You have to admit, their fusion in budokai 2 was pretty bad ass. It was the games saving grace in my opinion, and the reason i kept playing.

It was pretty cool even though I can't look at it from a "better angle". To me, it just looks like Yamcha is balding.

heheh, that's true. They could have designed him better, but his moves were still awesome. the fact that there was a what-if fusion in the game was a breath of fresh air.
That reminds me.
VegettoEX, or Mike, since you have probably has mroe time with the game....i assume there is no such fusion in the game ?
