In terms of the dubs, I like both the English and Japanese casts. The decision maker will be the new guys (Kaiojikai, Towa and Mira, Demigra, who BETTER be voiced by Kent Williams) and whoever the English dub got for the custom character voices.

Well, the thing about voices is that it could be surprising for your custom character if you go from English to Japanese or the opposite.
You might have a voice that you think fits perfectly in one language, and if you switch to the other, you're like "What?! But that's not the kind of voice I gave him!!"

Just pre-ordered my copy from Amazon. Maybe I'll get it a day early if I'm lucky.

So Dumbch-- excuse me... Yamcha can use Kaioken, huh? Cool! It makes sense cuz him and Tien were with King Kai's world and all that. I wonder if Tien can use Kaioken too.

Unfortunately from what I've seen so far, outside of "Hurrs" and "Yaah!"s in combat, our CaC is more of a...silent protagonist. From what I've seen of the Story Mode, our CaC doesn't talk. Gets talked to quite a lot by TP-Trunks and the Kai of Time and so forth, but our PC never speaks up from what I've gone over.

Crazy awesome shit! I haven't seen combo's this refined since Tenkaichi 3. Actually, it kind of reminds me of Budokai 3 fighting mechanics. On the other hand, it look like a fusion of Budokai 3 and Tenkaichi 3 fighting mechanics.

The fighting mechanics of this game are ridiculously impressive.

Are death combos really a good thing, though? That's pretty much the opposite of what you want in a fighting game, surely?

Unless I'm misunderstanding this video and you can, in fact, block these moves?

Assuming we get lucky and this follows the DBZ game trilogy rule I can't wait to see how good Xenoverse 3 will look.

Death Combos are always bad in every fighting game. Anyways I am pretty sure he was just doing training and wasn't actually playing the AI or a real person.

I think this game/series will be popular enough to get a second sequel. Bandai Namco is really advertising this game and there's a lot of positive feedback from those who are playing it.

It was 2P with no one on the the other controller. Of course you can vanish away from these combos and use evasive attacks, and you can stop yourself from flying too far away.

Kind of a shame we have to Yamcha ourselves when we intercept Ginyu's body swap technique though. XD not spoilered because we saw it happening in the third teaser

I'd rather not. Link is so one-dimensional and boring and never seems to really change. He's as much a stagnant corpse as Mario. I'd rather not drive my CaC in Xenoverse into the ground like Nintendo has its properties.

Are you implying Mario is anything but pure fun?

James Teal (Animerica 1996) wrote:When you think about it, there are a number of similarities between the Chinese-inspired Son Goku and that most American of superhero icons, Superman. Both are aliens sent to Earth shortly after birth to escape the destruction of their homeworlds; both possess super-strength, flight, super-speed, heightened senses and the ability to cast energy blasts. But the crucial difference between them lies not only in how they view the world, but in how the world views them.

Superman is, and always has been, a symbol for truth, justice, and upstanding moral fortitude–a role model and leader as much as a fighter. The more down-to-earth Goku has no illusions about being responsible for maintaining social order, or for setting some kind of moral example for the entire world. Goku is simply a martial artist who’s devoted his life toward perfecting his fighting skills and other abilities. Though never shy about risking his life to save either one person or the entire world, he just doesn’t believe that the balance of the world rests in any way on his shoulders, and he has no need to shape any part of it in his image. Goku is an idealist, and believes that there is some good in everyone, but he is unconcerned with the big picture of the world…unless it has to do with some kind of fight. Politics, society, law and order don’t have much bearing on his life, but he’s a man who knows right from wrong.
