Notice I said I wouldn't be half as excited for XV without the CaC system. Half of infinity is still infinity. :)

Anyway, it's not like I'm going to noob around the entirety of my play-through. I plan on learning the combat system and improving my playstyle as I go along. I appreciate that this game has a very well developed combat system that requires a decent strategy to accel at. I'm not buying the game just to "play dress-up." I am more or less equally excited about both aspects, the CaC and the combat.

Has anyone seen any videos trying to recreate other character either from the show or otherwise. Interested to see if a Pikkon like race can be created. You would think Namek would be the perfect choice for him but I don't think it would be because of the ears.

I'm worried that all masters might not be accessible from the start.

I mean, my first character being Toriyama's prototype for High School Gohan, he should learn all of his move from Gohan to be the proper incarnation of that character.
But if Gohan is not available as a master from the beginning, then my character will have to learn some moves from other masters to be able to progress and thus have his identity "tainted".
I guess we'll see soon.

After a while, I'll create another character with total freedom, but then I want Goku and Beerus as masters, which shouldn't be a problem to get early for Goku and Beerus would come later.

Sorry man but masters are definitely not unlocked at the start. I saw a stream where the guy was pretty far in and still hadn't unlocked all the masters on the masters screen.

They might have a "wig" that covers the namekian's ears and adds the classic paikuhan hat. It's not for sure but they have a lot of cool things some of which nobody has even seen yet for customizable items.

The rest of the characters level up as your custom does. So when you start the game, Goku, Vegeta, etc will all be level 1 like you. Then when you hit 80, everyone will be 80 as well.

well that kinda sucks, i just want to play as either my top 5 characters; I'm sure i'll be an unpleasant experience for me as i've never once felt while watching the anime, vegeta should have been given beam cannon or have a better hair line, he is perfect the the way he looks and i wouldnt change any of his signature moves, nor would i enjoy making an imitation of him. Oh well i'll just have to endure it.

Hope the gameplay will be atleast as good as i'm predicting it to be.

I'm baffled now, so how do we choose our Melee style and grab? Maybe you buy a capsule for it like in BT3?

They aren't.

You don't have to learn fighting styles from masters to make progress or anything. It might be easier by gaining stronger attacks and stuff, but you can still get moves from the shop and Parallel Quests. Though I think Gohan is only available in his teen incarnation as part of a team with Videl, and then not until at least the Buu Arc?

Buu arc definitely, I've seen a CaC with U.Gohans Melee attacks.

You know, I don't think I've seen this addressed yet. If you create more than one character, can you access them from the same "save file"?

For example, if I create Freeza Clansmen, then pick a new slot and create a Male Majin, can I access the Freeza Clansmen for versus mode while playing as the Majin?

While that would be great if you can, given other game choices, I feel like it's a no...

Each race (I think) has 3 unique fighting styles. A melee focused moveset, a ki based, and one in between. You pick it when you create your character and their basic moves revolve around the style you pick as well as your race.

For example Namekians use their extendo arms, Majin tend to bounce around and bend their shape, and Freeza's race often use their tails.

I think so. When you highlight the created character, there are 8 slots available.

I think so. When you highlight the created character, there are 8 slots available.
Are you talking about the 8 dots that are used for costumes on the normal characters? Because you can set different costumes/techniques for your avatar.

I heard that Fat Buu "shoes" are the Majin CaC equivalent to being barefoot in the game, is this confirmed?

Hey guys, wow this thread sure blew up over the last few days.

Anyway I've been checking out a few gameplay videos and its looking like it's gonna be awesome. I do have a question though, I've seen some gameplay I've the character creator for the Freeza type race, I'm just wondering if they're are different body types or costumes for them because it didn't seem to be an option in the video I watched.

You can only customize your character's head from the start. It's dumb because this isn't how it worked in the series, but the body armor they have on at the start is a costume (which can have the colors altered), but if you want a different armor type, you need to collect said "Freeza Clan armor" clothing item.

I still can't believe some people would rather play the same story over this. I understand everyone's entitled their opinion and all, but still man, after a freaking decade of playing the same story, don't you think it was just about time to evolve? Whether you liked the CaC and story or not, it was a big breath of fresh air.

I for one hope this " cliffhanger ending" people here are talking about will be for a sequel and not DLC. 14 more days until I find out what the ending is and how the secret missions will play out. I hear that Broly as a boss has his abilities true to his character like invulnerability. Is that true?

I feel you, man. I'm a little surprised at the complaints as well, but as they say, to each his own. I think the CaC system is great and it brings something new to the table. It's not like we still can't play with the normal characters.

Especially being African American, I enjoy the opportunity to be represented in a franchise I've enjoyed for years.
