Dragon Box

Post by Virgil » Sun Oct 22, 2006 11:15 am

For the last couple of days, I've been trying to get all the information I could regarding the Dragon Box. I digged Daizenshuu EX's older news to find more about it, and most of my the data I've gather comes from Daizenshuu EX. However, there is still a lot of incomplete information which I appreciate if some of you could fill in. I think it's an interesting matter, considering how much value it has, yet how little information we (EU and US) have regarding it. Here's what I was able to gather:

Dragon Ball Z TV Series Volume 1

• Released on March 19, 2003;

• ¥100,000;

• 25 NTSC Region-2 DVDs (Episodes 1-147 in Japanese);

• 1 NTSC Region-2 DVD (Bonus Features);

• The first exclusive "Dragon Book" booklet, 128 pages in length;

• Kaiyodo Deluxe Son Goku Action Figure

Dragon Ball Z TV Series Volume 2

• Released on -----------;

• ¥------;

• 26 NTSC Region-2 DVDs (Episodes 148-291 in Japanese);

• The second exclusive "Dragon Book" booklet, --- pages;

• Kaiyodo Deluxe Piccolo Action Figure

Dragon Ball TV Series

• Released on 7 July 2004;

• ¥105,000;

• 26 NTSC Region-2 DVDs (Episodes 1-153 in Japanese & Bonus Features);

• The third exclusive "Dragon Book" booklet, 128 pages in length;

• Tenkaichi Budokai diorama set designed by Toriyama

Dragon Ball GT TV Series

• Released on 25 May 2005;

• ¥52,500;

• 11 NTSC Region-2 DVDs (Episodes 1-64 in Japanese);

• Special disc containing the GT TV Special "A Hero's Legacy" & Bonus Features;

• The fourth exclusive "Dragon Book" booklet, --- pages;

• Dragon Radar TV / DVD Remote

Dragon Ball Movies

• Released on 14 April 2006;

• ¥52,500;

• 8 NTSC Region-2 DVDs (Movies 1-17 in Japanese & Bonus Features);

• The fifth exclusive "Dragon Book" booklet, 64 pages in length;

• Operational Scouter Transceiver

As it is, this is all I've got.

Just in case you're wondering, I'm searching for the same layout of information for the Dragon Ball Z TV Series and the Dragon Movies, as well as images of the cases and the extras. Hopefully, by the time this threat is over, we finally have enough information to create a topic to help those who are interested in learning more about the Dragon Box. Thank you and feel free to make comment, give some help or just discuss about it.

New to the forum? Just want to know when you'll hit your next posting rank? Ever wondered why some users have special titles, and what they mean? The answers to all these questions and more are waiting for you in the Kanzenshuu Member Hierarchy Guide!!

Just some pics of the Dragon Box covers. I'll try to find some more pics today...

EDIT: That was fast:

Hopefully I'll be able to find some nice, large pics of the discs. For now, Kanzentai has some small ones.

Thank you so much.

Kanzetai has a lot of information, I was surprised. I was dissapointed by the lack of bigger pictures, but aside from that, I loved how they posted each and every picture of the Dragon Box and how they covered every single detail of relevant information.

Hmm, I just found some nice images of the Movies Box, discs and all. Would you like me to upload them? They're big and clear, and I wouldn't wanna upload them for no reason...

Definitely !

My biggest problem with VegettoEX's pictures is that they aren't good enough, the photos were taken from a bad angle.

By the way, if you could find a similar Gokou Action figure (the angle of Piccolo's Action Figure was perfect), I'd really appreciate. The Box Set of Dragon Box Dragon Ball Z Volume 1 & 2 was great too. Think there's any of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball GT ?

Holy SHIT. I just uploaded one of the discs, and the only way it would upload is if I resize it, and make it .png. My real size ones are much bigger then this, but the only way I can get those on here is uploading them on Megaupload. For now, I suppose these will do. So far, I have one uploaded (it takes a shitload of time to upload BTW), and more will be upped ASAP. EDIT: Third is up

Nice !

I'm almost done with the information, too. Thanks to Kanzentai, I have almost filled all of the necessary information regarding the Dragon Box. I'd appreciate if someone could check it and correct whatever might be wrong.

[The information that I'm going to edit/change is to my original post]

You can call me Rick because I'm not actually Piccolo.

Anyone know what's in the book that came with it? Have any scans?

That's actually not the cover, exactly. The rear panel has Shenlong, not Kuririn (if I'm not mistaken, that picture of Kuririn is from one of the Kanzenban).

Yep. Kanzenban ftw. Nice photoshop though, fits in fairly well. Also, the lettering for 'Dragon Box' on the actual boxes is blue, not red.

Well, kanzentai.com has a quick run-down of the DragonBook for the first DragonBox. It's basically an anime guide for that particular DragonBox.

We currently have information up for 3 of the boxes:

Dragon Box - http://kanzentai.com/guide/dvd/jpn/db_d ... index.html
Z Vol. 1 - http://kanzentai.com/guide/dvd/jpn/db_d ... index.html
Movie Box - http://kanzentai.com/guide/dvd/jpn/db_d ... index.html

The pages for Z Vol. 2 and GT Box have been written, but just not posted yet. Just keep an eye on those pages and we'll have the information available eventually (hopefully it won't be too much longer now).

Dragonbox Links

Post by simmdogg113 » Mon Oct 23, 2006 3:08 pm

Here are some links I found about the Dragonoboxes:

http://www.dvd288.com/html/2004/08/20040823230039.shtml - Dragonbox Z Vol 1 and 2
http://www.dvd288.com/html/2004/07/20040711173836.shtml Dragonbox Original Series

Each of these have several pages about the Dragonboxes

http://www.dbnet-fr.com/8xg16d/?page=.. ... oodies.htm Here is another website that has reviews of Dragonbox, Z 1 & 2, and GT. You can click on the pictures to show an expanded version of the item.

No. Don't. Stop. Desist. Look back. Step back. Don't try. Leave it.

I really enjoy looking at all these images since I know that I'll never actually own the Dragon Boxes. Well, maybe I'll have the Movies box...someday...
